Until the bug is fixed, it's going to - dracnari spec race reduces strength, which is funny in a sad way since it makes their bashing worse. (Obviously unintended)
This can be fixed by making pardigmatics reimagination able to both target the self (without clumsiness), and when used for a positive buff, make the duration akin to lowmagic yellow and such.

That makes sense. In fact, is it not like that?

Yeah, that needs to change then. If you can do astro spheres on yourself (including accidentally casting negative astro spheres on yourself - damn my inability to count to four sometimes! ), you should be able to target yourself for the reimagination, IMO.
edit: Eww, it costs power and only lasts two minutes? (that is minutes right?)

I'm so happy over transmology and the Illuminati. Once the bugs, the flesh stuff gets fixed and we get a bashing skill other than cosmicfire D: I will be one happy Drac.

I'll be glad when they start accepting new novices. Vote faster guild founders! Noola wants some more alts!

Needs to add in the race specializations for harmonics/transmology.

Well, it seems like the cost and functionality were more geared towards the negative option- decreasing someone's stat for 2 minutes. That in itself is fairly limited functionality, but that sin would be more than forgiven if we could actually use the positive option in a meaningful way.

Flavourwise, Harmonics seems to be fun personified. I've always loved the concept of Ioun stones, and although Transmology is cooler than "new colour of gemstone", they are nifty enough.
Mechanically though, I feel very disappointed. Most are passive healing or shield. I'm not sure which is worse between Heartstone or the Fleshmound raise (probably the latter, as it seems to me to be nothing but a more expensive immolate), but both are so bad as resurrection skills that them only being in the cosmic skillset is the least of their problems. We have a method to passively drain ego, mana and cause bleeding, but we have no way of making use of it, as there is no ego or mana insta in Hallifax beyond Psionic specs. Spire... is a lacklustre trans skill, as it only really provides you with power. A boost to mana and ego in four specific rooms is not of any use, and power generates at a rate that it could just as well be neligible. The death protection is the only really nice thing about it. Without access to a jeweller, we have no way of creating more facets on the gems. And the lack of utility is disturbing.
Worst of all, and something I actually find insulting, is that we lack a method of flight. Every other guardian guild has access to flight. Hallifax is the only city that requires access to flight in order to get power from their cosmic mobs.
Good concept, but needs a lot of work on the actual mechanics.

Better start getting ideas for that special report both skills are probably gonna get then. I suggest doing what happened to Aeros and combining many of your passive healing abilities into one.
Kante2010-06-28 21:20:21
Allow me to state that Transmology reminds me of an odd mixture of Necromancy, Domination (from the other IRE games), and a healthy dose of WTFISTHISAWESOME.

The Geologist in me is loving the idea of Harmonics! Yay, coolness.
Kiradawea2010-06-28 21:24:49
Perhaps we could discover a new pearl, moonstone and coral sphere? *peer at the stack of pearls I bought* But it's an idea, and something I'll be sending once we're done working on creating an internal guild structure.

I didn't really read the rest, but this caught my eye. The regen on fleshmounds is atrocious, now I understand that it is faster if you have more in it, but that just basically means you should never use it and the only way to really rez people is to harvest 25 petals from the pot itself, put them in your mound and then rez.
As an example to test how slow the rate was (I was expecting like 1 flesh every 2 - 3 hours and slowly speeding up as it went over half full):
I was trans almost as soon as I was made a founder and could trans, shortly after the guild opened. I made my fleshmound as soon as I could after that. So say early satruday evening. Again, to test the rate I left it at 0 and went to bed. The next morning, roughly 15 hours after I had made the mound, I logged on and nothing was in it. I then put in 1, thinking maybe it needs something to start it. 6 hours went by and nothing changed. I then put in another 14, thinking well maybe that will do something. 5 hours later, nothing changed. I then put in 35 more, so there was 50 total, went to bed again around 1am and this morning woke up around 8am to 66 new wads. I went to work, came back at 1pm and nothing more has grown.
So over the period of 36 hours roughly, I made 16 flesh wads. Now, I can make 30+ an hour farming entities.
So yeah... the trans skill leaves something to be desired, since the only real use is the overly priced rez skill... which by the way, I can immolate someone, farm entities to repay the power back, and make 30+ flesh in the process.

Any ETA on being able to join via the intro?

Synl was wondering what was up with Transmology Robes earlier:
Basically, when you look at someone and they aren't wearing the concealing Robes, at the end of their description (past divine favours) they'll have a bunch of lines regarding their mutations: their skin is marbilised, their legs are long and willowy, etc. Having the Robes on just hides these lines.

Can they be enchanted like normal robes, or will they essentially be without armor sans defs?

It doesn't create robes, it merely marks your current robes with the illuminati mark.

Sewn from soft, midnight coloured cloth, these robes are tailored to
flow freely around the form. A pattern of crushed moonstone speckles the
back, the gem dust forming an illusion of the full moon. Diamond chips,
speckled around the moondust, create a starry backdrop to complete the
image of the night. The garment falls long, hiding the wearer's form and
brushing against the ground. Hidden within the folds of the robes are
voluminous pockets, able to hide even an igasho's hands. A deep hood
completes the robes, large enough to drape the face in shadow.
It has 45 months of usefulness left.
