I'm vaguely annoyed with all the newer guilds. Warriors work for wounding, Monks work for Momentum, Telekinetics have burst vessels, Aeromancers can do cloudcoils, Pyros got burn levels, Illuminati have insanity, Researchers have timewarps. I can't say how well they all work toward kills, but especially with Pyromancy, Paradigmatics, and Aeonics, everything synergizes by working toward those goals. The older guilds seem to be a lot less structured, like they have to work harder for things.
EDIT: Not to be a downer, though. The new guilds look like tons of fun! I'm glad they're finally out, will be interesting to see what happens with them now.

Glomdoring has that whole bleed-manadrain thing, so I'm guessing it's only a 'problem' in New Celest, Serenwilde, and Magnagora.

I am so rolling a illuminati when you can join them.
Tentacles!
EDIT: I might roll one before and level as influencing.

Wait... I get that it's hallifax and all but... no flight ability in harmonics?
edit: As you know... we are the one org that requires flight for our power quest.

Your power quest does not require flight. All spheres spawn on the ground.
A quest to gain power does, however. Though, neither do Illuminati get flight.

Flesh: Lovashi, Hakii
From the Fleshpot of Hakii, use the protoplasm to transform your torso to either:
(1) increase weight (adds to summons resistance)
(2) grow wings (flight and gust) or
(3) grow tentacles (special exit blocking)

I'm just glad Halli got a Rez skill.

Sort of

Heartstone will be good for RP purposes for me. >.> I'm a little jealous, Transmology looks AMAZING and Harmonics to me is just kind of meh. Maybe I'll like it more though when I finally get to experience it rather than just reading through the skills.
Sakr2010-06-27 01:32:02
hmm, heartstone should come with a warning: Not for those with high divorce rates.

Lehki beat me to it, but yeah... just weird, especially with the flight requirement on the quest

Lots of Harmonics is broke. Crystalwand, Glorygem, Mendingstone. All no worky.
A couple things are iffy too. Like bloodstone doing a useless 50 bleeding.
Transmology looks sweet, though.

We still getting founders? Really looking forward to it, looks like I can be in a guild that actually does something again.

Don't worry lots of transmology is broken too, like hekoskeri attacks everyone including yourself when you move... Hands doesn't seem to work properly, you have no idea what flesh is in your rift, just that you have it, oh and while amazingly funny... Ping tells you -everyone- in the game... gods included.

Nothing to see here, move along

I'm totally perplexed by what tertiary I should be choosing, which is a first for me.
Usually the choices are more clear-cut in their effectiveness/focus.

Shaddus2010-06-27 02:26:00
So long as people don't try to get their position as GA/GC/Gm just for the honours line, and then move to another guild. That will really piss me off.
Rodngar2010-06-27 02:26:15
I am stumped for a choice between Hexes and Tarot. Every time I lean one way, I sort of whine to myself and say "but then I can't do X"
THIS IS HARD.

Tarot is a good skillset for not just battle. I'd go with that for now.
Unknown2010-06-27 02:33:33
The skillsets are really cool. Even if they are bursting full of utility and combat and everything. They are really nicely done.
Razenth2010-06-27 02:34:18
Yeah, Hexes is solely for the avid combatant. There isn't anything utility in there at all. If pvp is all you do, then its a great option, but I mean, there's more to life than just killing :\\
Gregori2010-06-27 02:35:23
the skillsets are amazing. I mean I love them, especially Pathways, hardcoded RP system in a guild... that pretty much wins right there alone.
