-tweak ABs to make them look better-
Also, I wonder - if a fleshpot/sphere dies, do all the abiltiies tied to them get temporarily cancelled? Like, if the Jade sphere dies, would you still be able to spin a jade + do a Resonance? Or would both be inactive since the Jade is down?

If pvp is all you do, then its a great option, but I mean, there's more to life than just killing :\\
I play IRE for PK first and RP closely after, but PKing keeps my attention in the game infinitely. Hence why I'm considering Hexes. I'm just unsure if I'd be any GOOD at it.

Taking healing as a Researcher means that you are the tankiest thing ever. Healing Auras+Harmonics Passives+Aeonics Defs=TANK
It means using aeonics+harmony as backup as your primary way of killing people, though.

I figured Harmonics provided the tools to use Aeonics instantkill effectively, though?

Wait, so Illuminati get dominate, scent, ectoplasm, a ranged attack, and Institute gets.. psion stones?

I just hope the guildleaders don't decide to be power-trippy about the "With permission from a guild leader" part.
Unknown2010-06-27 02:56:08
I am not a fan of people trying to structure the whole Fleshmound deal. I'm sitting here infront of an unmounded fleshpot trying to decide whether I should or not.

That does seem wonky, unless you can actually strip the plane entirely or something.

I think you need to chip parts of the smobs off of them (and therefore, if the smob dies or is stripped, everyone loses the ability to channel that aspect). Like the gem spheres have facets and fleshpots have flesh petals.
Also, I'm sorry if someone posted this... but what are the tert options for both guilds? Are they the same, or different?

Illuminati is Tarot, Astrology, Hexes. Institute is Tarot, Astrology, Healing.
EDIT: Where are the racial specializations for the new guardians? Can you add regen in burning/clouds for the dracnari/trill(/lucidian?)

I would be very surprised if fleshpots couldn't support multiple mounds.

Really? That's kind of sad. Illu-healer feels like it could be really fun, but I can see how the guild would reject it. Just... patch yourself up, lest you insinuate you're too good for the gifts of the Vortex.

I just realized what the room the Temporal Conclave in reminds me of, other than dr who.
It had been saying a lot of things about how the room was outside time, if I remember correctly, but that we bring in our time stream...and such. It reminds me of the Xanth books, and how time is weird when one comes into and leaves the kingdom of xanth (unless you were born there, which case it was more stable. usually.)
Hmmm...I could be completly wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

The Cloud Trill/Prismatic Lucidian/Illuminated Dracnari specs for the mages are applied to the guardians as well.

Yeah, I mean, I can see maybe some sort of limitation like, 'You have to replace any gems/flesh you harvest.' But that really seems to leave things wide open for guild leaders to be jerks about it and make a bunch of crazy hoops for folks to jump through.
I'm gonna have faith in the Lusternia community not to be aholes though!

We tried to 'structure' it so as to try and mitigate the los of petals in the pots, by having people with mounds at various pots that could help each other out instead of harvesting from the pots themselves. This was an attempt to mitigate the soon to be 'stripharvesting' and get the pots built up some more. If there is no mound, then you probably should have put one there, after all that's what we said... find a pot with no mound at first and get them all covered.

These look ridiculously incredible.
While the Institute has time travel going for them, and thereby wins, I really think the fleshforming Illuminati are ahead by far in terms of how evocative, imaginative, and rich in potential their skills are. I suspected this when looking at Paradigmatics beside Aeonics, and Transmology does not disappoint.
I hope the players in charge of shaping the Institute as a newborn guild do what they can to play up the time travel angle. Without wanting to say anything bad about the Sentinels or those within the guild, particularly as I did nothing myself to help them, I was disappointed by the lack of attention given to time travel roleplay, despite it being their biggest draw card.

No more so than powerblocking, and this is actually more important as there are places to get power independently. There isn't places to get wads independently, so if someone is taking them all... it hurts the whole guild.
