Love the new skills, though yeah is a bit obvious that Illuminati get the bigger piece of the cake in better abilities . Though I hope that members in both guilds havent already began to try to put their foot in all matters and act with that ahole attitude as though they are the leaders.... which is usually the case with anything new. That mostly ruins the fun of it all.

Happy, oh so happy....I have skills that work (dun care if some of them are bugged, it's better than trans moon with no link to mother), I'm part of a guild again, I finally got my lessons from doing the collegium quest things (since I needed to be in a guild to do guild status). I have gems with which to create shinies, I can save Silvanos better now, if she has to go to astral, and everything is shiny. And I really ought to go to bed, seeing as it's 6am, and....I have work....oy...

Now if only we had guild leaders so I could bug them about harvesting enough gems for a wand.

It's so tempting to just spam the conclave with requests.

You could always beg one of the three people who have permission to harvest them for you!

Tried that, also others have been given permission just none of the rank 1s that are around now.

I have 25 of each gem for harvesting but well yeah.

Yeah, I really wish we had a bank account so we could go and buy some furniture and such for the guildhall. But I guess we'll have to wait for the guild leaders first.

Would be better for you to hold on to the gold, removing from the bank will subtract from it.

*sigh* Oh well. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll be asleep when the founders are chosen, and so I'll have absolutely no chance. at least I'm only about 5 1/2 hours from graduating novicehood.

So, how does the crystal harvesting work? The guild leaders have to actually give you permission to harvest for your own skills?

Yes. I was all set to make my fleshmound and help out, but apparently that needs flesh which I can't get without a guildleader's permission

I'm really hoping there is a separate log for adding and harvesting somewhere cause it's (thankfully) not on the guild logs.

Nihmriel was nice enough to give me some emeralds so I have my wand (Sonic screwdriver ftw) anything else will probably need to wait til I can harvest though.

Unless crystals can be overharvested, I don't see the sense in this. If the guild leaders don't like someone, they can gemblock them.


In my opinion, this is like someone in a wicca or other guild making people who are herbalists unable to pick herbs unless the leader gives permission.

It was said a bit earlier that the crystals could, indeed, be overharvested. So it's likely a good bet that most will be blocked for a while until a good set of rules have been made.

Knowing Hallifax, said rules will be written in ten pages of a journal.

Gems and Flesh CAN be overharvested. Each pot/gem has a limited number of facets which must be restored.

Out of curiosity, how are they restored? Slowly over time, by putting power into it, by doing a mini-quest (a'la pearls of crystalism in Achaea+clones)?
