I don't want to be hardcore "Face the might of Ackleberry!" bloody raiders or anything. I just want to drown morons in the lake. Is that so much to ask?
Kiradawea2010-07-22 20:46:59
I could definitely see Tae'dae and Bear to be very don Quijote-like, with the furrikin being the Jeanne d'Arcs who need to reel in their larger brethen's antics.

Too much work. Just cover them in honey and send them to Brother Bear's aspects. You could even feasibly call it an initiation ritual. If you're eaten, you failed.

I can actually see the return of Ackle being heralded by a thick mist covering the entire basin. (And then people getting ganked by invisible rabid squirrelbears) And I can see their druid Terrain being something like "A thick mist swirls here." in either 14 or 6. Whereas Jojobo might have "The verdant undergrowth is thick here." in 10 or 2.

"The terrain here is coated with thick honey." in Eventru Gold.

Jojobo will be, to everyone's consternation, a 10 line meld statement in 11.

But why would the two most peaceful races in the basin start attacking people at random?
And druids are tied to the trees, while the wiccan to the fae. The fae are the lakes and mist, while the three is "THE GREAT HONEYSAP". So honey everywhere.

Eh, as long as it's talking about how hot and steamy the aslaran are, I'd be cool with that.

Of course. Their release event will involve robbing everyone of cloth commodities to make their jumbo Triple-H bras.

Ackleberry will then have to show up and try to teach Jojobo the joys of sharing, complete with a sing-along (which will later be part of the Ackleberry epic quest cycle).

How about an event that doesn't involve lots of people getting killed by crazy strong denizens and having to do some kind of long grinding collection quest to stop all the senseless death.

I'm hoping Ackleberry is kind of swamp-like after all the years, with a bit of tribal hierarchy and ferality bred into the inhabitants, slightly menacing without being death-shadow-crazy-sacrifice like Glomdoring. Extolling the harshness of Nature without passing judgement on Good or Evil. That's just my pipe dream though.
Funnily enough, barring the swamps, that's the original design for the serenwilde. It's a shame Auseklis left when he did, he was very burned on beating his vision of the serenwilde into people with a stick. A large stick. Very large. That was some awesome stick.
Jack2010-07-23 10:57:36
I miss Auseklis. We need a new Auseklis to pummel Serenwilde into shape. Plus, I want to form a cult for his beard.

I found it one day. Or I think I did. It looked like it. Well, it looked like an oak tree. It probably was an oak tree. I like acorns.
