But as long as the guild leader and seneschal positions are these awesome people, they'll be the ones deciding the future. And after all, the snugglers are never gonna have the drive to actually get of their "tail" and do stuff to get leader positions. It'll require doing things beyond glomping and snuggling.
And those introductions would be awesome. You'll both have my vote, when that time comes.

The problem is that... it's probably not going to stop them, if the admin repeat what they did with Cririk and Suchidira then it will go as long as they are around. Not sure about Gaudiguch, but Hallifax is... slipping (I think we really need to introduce our more affectionate members to they might... serve the collective. Would be interesting to try that human battery thing from the matrix movies)
Either way, Ackleberry and Jojobo would be cool.
I could kinda see Ackleberry being... patient is probably the best word for it. Just something about how water slowly wears down the earth over long periods of time, it makes me think that River might be more about long term goals and views Moon as an unreliable because she is constantly changing(Moon goes through her changes every month, maybe river thinks more in terms of decades/centuries), perhaps blaming this aspect of the Moon for why Serenwilde decided to remain when Ackleberry left. Leaving could also match up with this, they're simply going into hibernation (get it... bear spirit) for a few centuries/a millennium.

The first thing you need to do if you want to keep snugglers down to baseline levels is to take the provided map of Ackleberry (Ask Estarra Vol 3, at roughly 1:59) and do something to it so that it doesn't look like a level map for Hello Kitty's Forestal Frolic. Seriously, there's a Glade of Happiness and a Vale of Flowers.
Fog might be the answer. Fog's all watery and natural. Fog hates the Sun. Fog puts a damper on happy little furry animals rutting out in public.
And the in-game Riverdance reference is inevitable. I accept this. It's just a question of whether the staff's going to get it out of their system first thing or hold it in until the bard guild is ready.

Not meaning to burst anybody's bubble, but i'm pretty sure that they are going to be called Lakedancers...

Actually, yeah, I like the idea of this misty foggy forest (Lake + Sun = Fog/Mist?!) You could go even further and add swamps and bogs and evil poisonous thorned man-eating plants stuff (like the Foghnan the Thistle's country in Witches of Eileanan) but that'd be treading on Glomdoring a bit.
If the leaders go for hardline RP, I think it'd turn out okay.

On a more serious note, I hope Sun and River(?), end up as awesome as Moon and Night. Not that we'll see them anytime soon...
Lake!
Also, 100% asphyxiation damage?!
All this theory crafting is making me excited for those two new covens.
Rika2010-07-14 12:08:54
Lake and River are the same spirit anyway.

That's at least one then!
I'll make the Druids so badass that Stephen Colbert puts us on his threatdown. Above regular bears!
Aerotan2010-07-14 15:26:31
I thought that was Jon Stewart. I mean, who WOULDN'T be afraid of rabid squirrel-bears wielding sharp harvesting implements at around waist-high? No man I know of, that's for certain.
That said, I'd be surprised if the warrior guild at the very least wasn't a force to be feared and reckoned with. Furrikin may not pack the same wallop as Dracnari or merian specs, but by God they can pack MORE wallops in the same amount of time, especially if their spec race favours dex over strength.
As a note, I'd expect Jojoba to get the Illithoid messenger. It's just easier to blend into a steriotypeical dense jungle than it would be in the Hundred Acre Wood of Horror.

Heathen! The Threat Down is from the Colbert Report. Tsk!
ongaku2010-07-14 15:31:31
The title of this thread needs to be changed so that people know it's Jojobo and not Jojoba. <.<
Oh man, yes! The Hundred Acre Wood of Horror! Filled with rabid Winnie the Poohs and Piglets!! Do want. Ongaku for Bear Druid GM, 20XX!

OMG, the thought of an evil Piglet is very disturbing to me. Just trying to picture it damages my childhood...

I think a good irish jig can last us for a very, very long time...

We don't want it turning out too much like Serenwilde, but we probably want it turning out like Glomdoring less. Swamps and bogs wouldn't be entirely out of order, though. A lake (possibly The Lake) is right there. It's just a question of what fauna are running around. And the answer, of course, is bears. Big, scary bears, that if we go with the fog thing, you don't get to see until you trip over them. Or have them trip into you.
Seraku2010-07-14 17:47:43
I could imagine Gaudiguch and sundancers getting along well.
Sylphas2010-07-14 17:51:29
I will disappointed if we don't get the fog bears.
We also need a built in process of law whereby we can drown morons in the lake.

Waterfowl can actually be really nasty, this would be fine. I vote for aggro swans.

Oh and Canadian Geese! Only, you know, with a different name maybe. But, they can be mean! Watch this Canadian Goose repeatedly attack this dog and chase it and the owner across a lake.
