You are aware that you can beg the Faethorn knights for them, right? They're not really hard to get if you want a few.

Unless you're looking for hundreds at a time, but in that case, it might be better to try a different design...

(Honeycombs are also a part of the Faethorn quests, and getting easy access to a lot of them would make the quest much easier for certain people but not others)

Most of the time I go to Faethorn the honeycombs are already gone.
People keep giving the knights things so I don't get honeycombs off them.
I don't want to try a different design. My cupcake is special :(

It's not that people give them things, it's that people die their, drop their stuff, and the knights scoop them up. Alternative: Hire a Magnagoran to kill the Knights for you. :P

I'd bet that 95% of the time, the honeycombs are not actually "gone," they're just scooped up by knights. Not all the knights are carrying other detritus, so you should be able to get some.

People don't drop a bottle of some alcohol, or cakes, or cookies when they die. :P

Just to prove my point, I went to Faethorn when I made my last post (about 5 minutes ago). I ran around begging the knights and scooping up honeycombs.

8 honeycombs

5 of them were on the ground.
3 from Knights.
Plus one monolith sigil and one faeleaf from knights (so up to possibly two more honeycombs).

That wasn't even a fully exhaustive search, I probably left another couple there.

Edit: Though as a note, that means the honeycombs are mostly not there to be found right now. :P

I'm not even logged in right now. I'm just pointing out previous experience with the honeycombs.

It was just an idea. :/

Alternate idea (that's more of a "simple idea" than an "artifact idea"):
If you beg from an NPC, have it give you all items it is holding.

This helps with:
1) Faethorn Honeycombs
2) The good-side chancel quest (which is very difficult, if not almost impossible, to do without 'cheating'-- that is, killing all the dwarves and then getting amnesty from Thorgan).
3) Various other quests where more than one quest item can spawn on a given NPC that you are supposed to beg from.

Manse Hotspring

Sits in a room like furniture and you can lounge in it , appearing in it, and be able to bathe in it to scrub off grime and/or sit in it to regenerate . Bottom line being able to sit/"swim" in a body of water that doesn't occupy the whole of the room.

Next on the agenda, Manse Swimming Pools.

Artifact sigils. Comes in Monolith, Eye, Key, Flame and Palm flavours. Does not reset automatically. Works exactly like the regular sigil, except you can do SIGIL SUMMON to make the sigil reset to your inventory at will. Suggested price: 25cr each.
Enyalida2012-10-05 19:18:02
So you could have a flame mono that only you can pick up?

And how would this work with disenchant?
Unknown2012-10-05 19:41:56
Yes.

Disenchant makes the sigil reset to the owner's inventory.

Well, obviously.
