-Night's cauldron: replaces a SD's cauldron, generate shadows every IC day, up to 200
-a pound of flesh: generates x type of flesh every IC day.
-a...mine? of gems: does the same, but for institute gems.

Valor Emblem - When entering a room with aggressive mobiles while others are following you or already in the room, the emblem will draw them to attack you before anyone else. Does not affect org guards.
Aether Sonar - Syntax: EMPATH SONAR <#> - scans for the number of aetherbeasts inhabiting aetherspace in that direction, in a straight line, for up to 25 rooms. If a number is not specified, it will automatically scan to 25 rooms. Good for determining how many beasties might be in large clusters chasing you.

I really like that valor emblem...
Brooch of the Maelstrom would be nice, but I'd prefer to see it also give a 25% chance to block things that knock you down (ala Crowform).

I quite liked the idea I read before about a rune to attach to a figurine to keep it from being destroyed when offered but resets it to level 1 and 0 esteem again. Keeps me from having to remake Viygurine should he ever be used up. D:
Also, a blank rune/mote/tarot card artie that isn't consumed when you use it. Once you etch/inscribe/weave it, the item assumes that type forever. Makes it so that I only need 1 artie rad rune ever that doesn't get consumed when I use it.

I think that a permit to add a new design pattern to an existing category would be a neat auction item. Like, say, getting a 'cocktail' pattern to Cooking spirits or maybe a 'blossom' pattern to Bookbinding origami designs. Whatever it is that a designer would want to add to the general pattern database that isn't already offered and pending Divine approval (so we don't get like, light sabers in Sword designs or something) for thematic appropriateness.

An item that allows the player to ignore day/night restrictions on when a particular defense can function/be raised. (So you could allow Drawdown/Nightkiss as well as Sun, Moon, and Night totems to be accessible at all times.)

There already is a manse artifact for this. The only thing that prevents Nightkiss/Drawdown with it is the phase of the moon (No Nightkiss at full moon, for instance).

Pretty sure you can't raise Nightkiss/Drawdown during the day, nor do Night or Moon totems function during the day, nor Sun at night. The proposed item would allow all of those to function and be raised day and night.

Fan of growth - Fan a herb in the room to hasten it's growth a bit
Piercing of the demon - Wear it on the lips to speak a new language, only understandable by others that have the piercing. Wear it on your ear to understand the languages around you (like the illithoid ability), but you cannot speak it.
Personal Massager - An ability for denizens. Allow that denizen to give you a massage once per lusternian month, regenerating your endurance and willpower at a faster rate.
Influencer's guide book. - Wielding this book gives you the benefits of all of the runes of influencing, in one package.
Pendant of Power - gain 5 power (2.5% reserves) every IC day?
Door Paint? - paint this on two items, and be able to enter and exit that item to reach the other side. Just like you can enchant paintings, but now you can enter that closet and exit somewhere else.
Kisses of the Fates - Increases experience gain by quadruple the amount?

How about more guild related artifacts as well? We have the order ones, regular ones, why not things that boost your guild in one way or another - the flavor ones or something else.
Like: a golden satchel - When hunting in squads, a portion of gold will automatically be transferred to the squad leader's guild banks.
Whispers of Luck - Use once a month, only usable when there are 3 or more guild members in the same room, increases the experience gain like harvest does for the guild members.

Boots of ice - By freezing the ground before you, you can walk on any surface normally (if you manage to find yourself in the air for example, you can walk around normally - the seas's waves don't move you either)
Dagger of Rebirth - By stabbing a person in the back with this dagger, they will be summoned to you before they die.
Rod of Ages - Be able to shift your age as you wish, resets each lusternian month.
Catalyst ring - Wearers can high five each other, creating a shockwave in the room that causes fear to everyone but the wearers.
Gauntlet of Steel - slap or Backhand or bitchslap causes a small amount of damage to the target's ego, but takes balance.
Rune of (whatever) - Place the rune on an instrument, making minor second or the guild spec's equivalent take less equilibrium to cast.
Rune of Penetration- When fighting a denzin, you have a chance for your attack to go through the denzin's shield. (Blanknote a denzin, it pops the shield back up before you can regain equilibrium, this way you can attack it through the shield.)
Mallet of Force - By throwing the mallet in a direction, it magically gets larger and larger, moving all players in a direction with it till the end room. (for example, 3 rooms to the east. east 1 has 2 people, east 2 has 4 people, east 3 at 5 people. Throwing the mallet moves e 1 and e2 to e3.)
edit: where as the cooks can give increased and longer effects, why not an artifact that doubles the boost to +2 per stat? There isn't that many constitution buffs, or intelligence - compared to something like charisma.

For what purpose? To buy all the runes together cheaper? Unless it is significantly cheaper, you may as well buy to 1-3 useful runes (begging/empower/seduce) if you MUST.

"If anything can be abused, it will". This will only cause unnecessary griefing, and can be problematic in the hands of a stealth user (to make masks of corpses as they arrive).
