Falcon:
What about the mirror of reality? To be able to see what really is in the room but not affecting what actually is around you. I kind of liked that one.
Is there a point to this? You can generally tell from looking at the map and surrounding rooms, and the information isn't at all useful.
or the personal massager, or a two way mirror that allows you to give and receive things to a friend?
Dirigible plus+, now two way and with no delay!

Orbital Turret. 400 credits each, up to 3
When flying these orbital turrets attack all hostiles near by, but may draw unnecessary aggro, so use with caution. Drains the ships power reserves when in use.

We don't need to make aetherhunting even better.

EMP Aethership Artifact:
When connected to a ship, the empath may GRID EMP. What this will do is release a shock wave throughout the ship, destroying all slivven on board. This will however utilize all 10 power. Artifact may only be utilized once per lusternian day. It would be useful in those emergency times when your ship is about to collapse from excess of slivven everywhere on it and you cant go attack them when you are trying to escape a large flock of creatures o.o .

Maybe an artifact that throws your voice further than broadcast?
Llandros2011-11-20 01:07:40
this might be a fun dingbat manse artifact.
A gnomish matter destabalizer or whatever you might want to call it. It acts like a nexus where you can put stuff in it to throw things away. The only difference is that it has a very small chance to spit out something fairly worthless. The item would really be more for flavor than trying to get comms back or anything.
The machine's function is to destroy items but since it's gnomish design, every now and then it creates one instead. But like i said it would been to be a low chance of something with little to no value so people don't try to abuse it.

New manse artifact or artisan buildable:
Shadowbox Gallery: Non-decay. Allows you to store and display multiple paintings in one room, maybe like a hybrid glamrock-bookshelf. TAP SHADOWBOX RANDOM to randomize the paintings or TAP SHADOWBOX NEXT/PREV to bring up a new one/ new set in the catalogue. Paintings cannot be enchanted.

There was an artisanry suggestion to do essentially the same thing, without the glamrock-esque switching around. A (Decaying) case to exhibit multiple pieces of art when PROBED.
Art and other similar objects.

I'd rather not have it decay though, since the point of having it would be to stop my favourite paintings from decaying/disappearing and not take up stockroom space, pack space and limited manse room space since you can only have one per room. Also, additional syntax could be: you probe a shadowbox gallery and see a painting of Taimon of the Harmony, a painting of Hoaracle the Forest Dreamer etc within. LOOKAT (paintingnumber) in gallery to see the painting.
Enyalida2011-12-02 18:17:44
Eh, Arts Upkeep? Only costs one palette of paint! I've got a bajillion.
Unknown2011-12-02 18:21:12
Can't always be around or depend on others to upkeep the paintings in the manse, also not enough room to store or display them all.
Unknown2011-12-03 02:32:39
I think the gallery sounds like a fine idea, but not the non-decay part. As was said, there are ways to prevent complete decay. Constant upkeep sucks, but that's how it works - non-decay items take up space, and I'd rather not have us another stockroom debacle.
Unknown2011-12-03 02:56:08
But what about bookshelves then? They don't decay, nor do the scrolls or books inside. Do we need to start rifting them too? The reason I put forth the library-glamrock hybrid part would be to perhaps use the gallery to record the paintings, and then flip through it like a giant book, but on more grand scale of course. And while I like to collect art, I don't think I'd be able to manage 20k odd paintings or whatever that number was that was causing all the trouble. Also.. I could have sworn, it's been awhile, but doesn't Seren have a sort of amber gallery or something for paintings already?
Unknown2011-12-03 04:16:58
Books and scrolls also don't have a way to be repaired. Paintings do; you can make it so that they're virtually non-decay with some upkeep, anyway. Also, it's the Spiritsingers that have the gallery, and I think they bought it as a guild artifact, or something.
EDIT: With that said, go ahead and make it into a manse artifact, but not an Artisan one. Add in limits, like 10 paintings to a gallery with the option to buy expansions.

Something that would be cool to help settle bets, payment, and all sorts of cool manner of things, would be die. There would be different ones for each city/commune, and each would have it's own special roll message:
Celest:
You: A pair of Celestian die lands on 1 and 1, snake eyes! As the die flash golden and emit a heavenly note, you bend over and pick them up, ready to roll again.
Them: A pair of Celestian die lands on 1 and 1, snake eyes! The die flash with a golden light and a single, heavenly note before *You* picks them up.
I only wrote Celest, but I have ideas for all the others, too.

Oh, I actually like that idea. Encourages people to throw things away that they don't need.
