Kafe Carafe

When you put a Kafe commodity in the carafe, it creates a brew that you can then pour into glasses. Once so poured, each shot of the brew bestows insomnia and alertness.


Soothing Censor

By putting a smokable herb in the censor and lighting it, the censor will periodically remove an affliction that the herb istelf cures, similarly to a healer's aura. In addition, if placed in a room and lit, the censor will periodically create an ambient message pertaining to the scent of the herb being smoked.

Thumbs up for the censer idea, I am all for that. It doesn't even need to be healing anything, just provide cool ambience depending on the herb.

Other random ideas:

Vanity Mirror - primp up in it to get longer/faster/cheaper amnesty/parley. Perhaps some influencing boost on top.

Sewing Set - mend your own clothes, works for the owner only. Perhaps allow mending of containers too (packs etc).

Cool (?) Rune - permanent vivace/largo/pentangle/hexangle effect on staff/symbol/instrument.

Easel - make custom paintings with it without having to tweak your manse. Perhaps a manse artifact.

Porcelain Teapot - spawns fills of one set of tea monthly.

Claramorre Perfume Bottle - spawns fills of one type of perfume oils a month.

Gnomish Weirdizmo - allows you to change size as if you were a titan.

Dracnari Whip - allows you to train your beast to do some funny tricks like roll or play dead.

Dreamweaver Stone - allows you to send madeup dreams to nearby nappers.

Antediluvian Deck - a deck of ancient Tarot cards, those before influence of Vernal Gods. Could spawn 3-5 different cards a month, untradable, always to stay in the deck. Could only fling them at self/someone out of it. The effects could be a bit different to current tarot, for example, Healer would cure up few afflictions off the target, or the cards could be entirely different name-wise. Could also be more pranky and fun, like Warrior could spawn a ghost to fight you/target, hangedman would make ropes burst and try to strangle someone, or turn into snakes and chase people.

Some Spy Gizmo - lets you hear what someone says/is said around them. As with stolenthoughts and dispellable the same way, would also show on defs or diagnose and you'd see the message for it.

Now, would this be

Or, would this be a manse artifact, allowing dreams to be done in the manse? Make a hidden room to control the dreams of anyone in the manse? Essentially a "I set these three dreams, and these dreams occur when you sleep in this manse" deal?

Manse "screw with your mind" artifacts I approve of.

Mainly, this is for setting up outdoor areas, or adding smells to certain rooms, not the whole manse.

Enchanted mirrors, a set.

Hang them in your manse. you are now able to set perms on them. Anyone with perms can travel through them with little/no balance cost and quickly. As well, gaze into the mirror and scry into that room directly.

I have something kind of like this in Deepnight, tad expensive for most though.

I'd sent a message to the artifacts email asking about something like this, was told that it wasn't possible as a customization, but it might be considered for a normal artifact, or an auction only item. Here it is:

-A ring with the envenom ability
-The ability to deliver the venom whenever I punch someone, and am wearing the ring

Not sure if this has been mentioned or denied or anything yet, but...

Language Booklet - allows you to speak languages other than your racial language

Useful for roleplay and allows people to speak languages without having to be chained to bookbinding. Could be one booklet for each language for a small amount of credits, or one booklet containing all languages for a large amount of credits.

Lets you do all the mail commands from anywhere.

We already have this command. It's a pet upgrade. Or, most of the mailing things anyways.

If it enabled REQUEST LETTER, then it'd be near enough to complete to be perfect. (Who really needs to preserve letters on the road?) That glaring omission suggests a possible artifact, though...

Why can't we have stationery?!

For now I'd settle for auctionable/buyable custom stationery set which you get to design as you see fit, with admin approval, and that lets you request an endless amount of letters from it just for yourself.

Stationery would be nice but probably involves a lot more than just a doohickey that makes the REQUEST LETTER command work. (Besides, I don't have a bookbinder in my pocket any more than I do a post office, so it still wouldn't help!)

But you could carry a selection of blank letters that you bought from a bookbinder with you easily enough (cause stationary would obviously last a much longer time than cheap, plain letters do). Give them to your pet to hold until you need them even.
