I wouldn't mind the above. I'd adore it more if it let you double the amount of times you can skillflex a day!
Ssaliss2010-07-06 23:14:13
Or both!
Ixion2010-07-06 23:23:38
I'd really like to see the Belt of Klangratch be made public.
Forging artie: 100cr: as long as forging is your tradeskill, coal runes do not decay for the user only. Putting them up everyday (10+ per day) is reallllly annoying.
I endorse the cube/powerstone idea too. A rechargeable powerstone that can be charged more than 100. Going through tons during enchanting and tempering is bothersome.

Yeah. I'm starting to really need one of those. Artifacts that I want or effects that I want often seem to already exist as previous auction arties, like the magic chisel, laurel scroll, and resurrection amulet.

-air/fire censer.
-artie that lets you skillflex free/cheaply or more often.
-make a few more auction arties buyable, like the belt.
-combine the elemental rings into one/two rings.

Oh, oh, well, besides the obvious asking for new censers and whatnot for the new orgs, how about...an artifact that say, enables a Tracking pet to become a veritable beast? Enable the wolf/hound to have both the equivalent of beast trains a beastmaster collared beast would have and have access to both the Tracking and Beastmastery skills. Of course, the abilities tied to Tracking would be lost if the warrior ever lost the Tracking skill (just like how melders’ pets lose the abilities but still remain a beast). Though, this would probably be a better envoy than an artifact, but it couldn’t hurt to ask!
Or, how about an artifact that lets other people carve totems for power/with a powerstone? I mean, there was an artifact chisel that helped quicken statue enchanting/statue destruction, why not a butterknife of totem carving for the communes?
Hallifax and Gaudiguch people would probably like say, some gloves that always double the amount of gems/petals harvested with a slight chance to triple the amount harvested.
Or, maybe an Astrology pendant that doubles the duration of spheres cast on the wearer? Just like how that spoon doubles the length of time for Cooking buffs. Well, really, a double duration pendant for guardian/wiccan tertiary defense times would be nice. A lengthened time for astrospheres/drawn hexes/radiated auras would be dandy for an ‘all in one’ type artifact pendant.
Hmm. How about...a channel log? You know how you have a tell history, how about a channel history that say, records the past 20 channel blurbs on a given channel. Suggesting as an artie so that clan owners can buy one for their clan too, but if this can be done for things like Newbie/CGT/CT/GT/GNT/OT and the like, it’d be way dandy.

Or just make a Brooch of Transelemental Mastery that allows free movement in all terrains AND cattle/sheep evasion.

I hate that the amulet was sold twice after the first.. something special is often as special as it is rare. I don't see geb's pet being sold again- same logic there. It's unique and special, because there are few (one in that case) in existence.

It won't stop me from wanting one! But I know the feeling.
EDIT: But how about, in a similar vein, something that would allow you to resurrect denizens? Requires having the corpse, can only be done x number of times per month, cannot apply to denizens that are immune to critical hits, maybe a few other restrictions... it'd be nice for questing and in circumstances where you just happened to hit the wrong macro.
Xenthos2010-07-06 23:53:39
Hmmm.
You know what I'd like?
A vial-pouch.
You can stuff all of your vials in there and you can still SIP HEALTH etc. just as if they were in your hands... without them actually being in your hands. Same with bottles. Sipping will still use the vial's name (for people with sorcelglassed vials), but if you do something like PROBE VIAL or PROBE BOTTLE it won't get the ones in the bag.
Should be able to hold at least 100, probably better if it's 200.
Could also give some minor buff to number of sips in the vial if you're using the bag, if you want to justify a higher cost, but really the best thing for me is the organizational booster and getting some of these things at least out of my hands.

That would be nice too, but I think a bit harder to still let them be used while not being able to probe / prod them. Thought it might be better to start small, with one of the primary culprits.

For me, it's mostly when I do II RING and all 100 of my vials show up that I get annoyed.
Unknown2010-07-07 00:14:10
I really would like something that would allow me to tap into the use of a crafting tradeskill's basic command (sew, craft, construct, cook, bookbind, forge) so long as the tradeskill is in stasis as temporarily forgotten, and you can't access of the skill's other features (coal runes, etc). But deciding how to limit use of such and how often is difficult. It's not an idea that is easy to keep simple.
Shulamit2010-07-07 00:20:12
A necklace that lets people understand/speak more languages, either choosen at creation, or all. This...would make bookbinding less important though

That isn't what makes bookbinding important, being able to read Divine is!
How about a manse artifact Quiz booth, that allows quizzes to be performed with timers and all?

Blingly the Gnome, special auction artifact
Put him in your manse, once per month, restores one month on an object. Possibly 2-3.
Order him around the manse, and he can do this with furniture. Not a big bump, but enough to keep something small and valuable going for awhile.
