Family Jewel - Doubles the amount of honor gained when you gain family honors. Can also double the amount of honor lost or halve it in addition.

If stolen, the thief may SMASH FAMILY JEWEL, causing you nausea, blackout, bleeding, disorientation, and some damage.

Nononon. Family Jewel: Gives you the ability to unfound a family. You may SMASH FAMILY JEWEL, causing you to lose your founder status in a family from lack of being able to produce children. Oh, and you're gonna talk in suuuch a high-pitched voice.

This is less funny to those of us that have lost a family jewel one way or another sad.gif

Frayed Friendship Bracelet - PULL BRACELET (TARGET) to silently remove yourself from the allies list of the target player. Because Farscout is irritating.

Throatgrip Gauntlet - Allows use of CHOKE (TARGET), which functions as Ascendance Destruction with asphix damage instead of fire, and based on Str instead of Int.

Nothing to see here folks. My damned Vader pic isn't showing.

I want a Reflection arti. I know we have Spellcasting beasts, but I really hate Beastmastery.
Unknown2010-07-12 17:13:02
Beastmastery is awesome, especially with the right custom beast. It's lightyears ahead of Riding, too.
Sylphas2010-07-12 17:18:14
I am conceptually fine with the idea of fae, each of which has a distinct purpose and act mostly on their own. I do not enjoy having a mix and match entity whose balance I have to track. Basically, I hate micromanagement and having a separate unit of that much autonomy. It's probably why I dislike RTS games too.
Unknown2010-07-12 18:02:46
I find one beast with multiple abilities easier to track than lots of individual entities. He's really not that hard to track...

I kinda feel sorry for the poor illusionists, everyone always wanting to copy their abilities through artifacts. biggrin.gif

I apologize if I've posted this one before. Quick-release, gnomish seatbelt-- halves balance time for module lock and module unlock. Very useful for slivven hunters.
Unknown2010-07-12 18:29:41
That reminds me!

I still want an artifact saddle that makes it impossible (or nearly so) to be unmounted from one's beast. I mean, falling into a pit or something drastic like that would still throw you off, but not just someone putting you to sleep or knocking you prone in any "usual" way.

Aetheric Bluetooth Aetheric Homing Device

You temporarily attach this to a module and you will get half the experience you would get if you were locked to the module. Nifty for slivvening! Also, you can't lock to any other module while the device is activated.
Krellan2010-07-12 20:05:53
I'd rather fix beast balancing instead of the saddle.

Reflection artifact would be sweet.

Wouldn't be opposed to a timeslip one instead or acrobatic avoid.
Unknown2010-07-12 20:25:57
I'd be all for fixing beast balancing, too!

I want the anti-dodging artifact to whack people upside the head when they try to avoid my huge honkin' flails. sad.gif

Reflection helps me while bashing, those would only help in combat. Someone is biased. wink.gif

I want this.

Only because it is based on STR instead of INT.

Manse Teleport (~50cr?) - place in a manse and be able to teleport to any location in said manse.
Ssaliss2010-07-12 22:20:14
Not sure if this should be an artifact or a general expansion, but: secondary modules for aetherships. Basically, you'd be able to place more than one grid/chair/orb/cube and more than three turrets, but only as reserves. If one is damaged, either the grid or pilot could switch to the auxiliary controls.

If we want that, I want the one artifact (which I've mentioned before) that would be the most powerful device in all of Lusternian history: A Piece Of Rope. WEAR ROPE to tie one end around yourself, then OFFER ROPE TO IASMOS, who has to AGREE, to tie the other end around himself. Now no skill can separate the two players. This would entirely revolutionize combat, making it be at least partially about (horrors!) fighting with your opponent.

Fortunately, the topologists of Hallifax, fresh from their triumphs at creating a city that can float in the clouds and navigating four-dimensional spaces, looked at a piece of rope and were entirely befuddled by the topological analyses required to tie a knot in both ends, so we can only dream of a day when our scientists can crack this conundrum and force us to reinvent everything we know about combat.
