Nope, you can twist it around so that the heartstone is a sign that you are literally putting your life in the hands of the Collective, but in turn, the Collective takes care of you, and so on.
And like all good Collectives, will take your soul and crush it violently between your moral obligation and your work obligations, both of which you swore to protect until the end of time, yet when the time comes to choose, YOU CAN NOT PICK SO YOU MUST END YOUR LIFE OR ELSE FACE AN ETERNITY OF SHAME AND BAD KUNG-FU MOVIES

Could be a construct?
I craft a crystal heart for Arel but have to leave.
I embed the vibration? of the heart into the statue.
(Arel dies.)
Tekora goes to construct and attempts to extract the vibration.
Arel must agree.
Tekora now owns the heart.
something like that maybe? With the need to agree (and counting on the target being able to do so while dead) it should prevent someone from running up and killing off half the city.

Absolutely. Resurgem wasn't all that great until the construct, so why not this too.

'cause you have way too many facets

One other thing...
Could crystals be less spammy in the room description? I mean do you really have to list every last crystal in our crystalplex? Why not limit it to two or three? Example:
Undergraduate Ayden Skyplume is here. He wields an emerald wand in his left hand. Spinning around his head are a beryl crystal, a bloodstone crystal, and an onyx crystal.
For more than three:
Undergraduate Ayden Skyplume is here. He wields an emerald wand in his left hand. Several crystals form a crystalplex that spins around his head.
Or something similar. And if you want to see what crystals are specifically in a person's crystalplex, it should be at the end of his personal description. It's absolutely horrendous trying to figure out who is at the Matrix with all these crystals.

A construct that stores heartstones and lets people on their allies list rezz them from the construct!
Shiri2010-07-03 09:11:05
Some construct options would be nice, even if we only get the discretionary ones or something.

Yes, i realized that WHO HERE is an option, but it really sucks if you are trying to actually look at the room desc at the Matrix. Researchers are a walking paragraph with full crystalplex!

Sounds like a job for selective gagging/replacement
Ileein2010-07-03 15:14:44
If it's that necessary to gag/replace something so common, there is a Problem.

I still don't know what the admin were thinking not giving us a Cloak option like they've had to end up giving every ent guild.
Noola2010-07-03 16:33:38
Maybe they had planned on the cloak thingie to be in effect when the guilds were released, but releasing the guilds took longer than expected and there was such an outcry (whining) on the forums that they decided, "Well, go ahead and release them now. We'll add the cloaking ability during the next update."
The guilds have only been out a week, folks! I'm sure there's all sorts of tweaking and ironing out to be done and adding a cloaking ability is prolly on the list of Things To Do.

I am more put off that Illuminati ents are basically unusable in combat unless the illuminati never ever loses their entourage EVAR... and it is looking like we are going to be forced to wait till the mid - end of August to get that fixed.
I can live without cloaking, but I want to at least be able to use my ents effectively.

Newp, hence my report, and my thread in ideas and my shameless plugging of it every chance I get in the hopes that Estarra will be "Oh hey! We should give them an entcall skill!!!!111one!!1!"
