Am I the only one who thinks "Critical Hit Thursday" is an absolutely terrible idea?
Don't get it? Let me elaborate:
(Serenwilde): Mnemosyne says, "Lady being attacked."
(Serenwilde): Aubrey (from the Ethereal Plane) says, "Ladies being attacked."
(Serenwilde): Aubrey (from the Ethereal Plane) says, "Urazial again."
(Serenwilde): Mnemosyne (from the Ethereal Plane) says, "Urazial."
(Serenwilde): Mnemosyne (from the Ethereal Plane) says, "Out."
(Serenwilde): Solanis (from the Ethereal Plane) says, "Out."
20 seconds, ish. Probably less. Nevermind that it happened twice over the past hour before this instance: the person and org are probably irrelevant overall, since it'll be encouraging it for everyone across the board.
Need I even mention entity-reliant classes and everything else pertaining to Lusternia NPCs?

I don't believe we have a say in it - IRE promotions are passed down from, well, IRE.
That said, I don't see a terribly big problem. I think guards and other arguably 'important' mobs are uncrittable.

You're underestimating how frustrating and plain annoying having these other mobs be under constant attack can be.
But still, nothing to be done about it. /shrug

Gravity and distort?
Seems to work pretty well, on the whole.

I tend to doubt critical hit rate changes are going to make a big difference on those types of raids. Its more a boredom thing.

Guards and supermobs are uncrittable. Demons, angels, Daughters, Ladies, villagers, other city mobs etc. are not.
Of course, they tend to die fairly quick anyway.

Urazial will be an irritating kick-and-run raider regardless of whether or not there's a critical hit Thursday
Krellan2010-07-01 22:17:48
time for Krellan to join in on the action.

I agree, critical hit thursday should allow everything to be critted.
Unknown2010-07-02 02:29:54
Including demigods and ascendants who like to stir up trouble.

Does this affect Aethership turret crits?

It's basically giving everyone an invisible level 3 crit rune for the day, so if crit runes work on aetherships, I don't see why this wouldn't.
Ayisdra2010-07-02 02:59:08
It also stacks with the artifact people have (so you could have a level 4-6 crit 'rune')
Unknown2010-07-02 11:18:59
I had very few non-critical hits yesterday. The rate on a turret is always less than the rate while actually hunting, though.
Unknown2010-07-02 15:41:37
I don't like it simply because I judge my progress of combat with the number of critical hits as well, but meh... it's only for one day, so why not try to wreak some havoc hunting UV trash?
Vahkatu2010-07-04 18:10:53
I dont think this is happening, but is influencing getting a boost from this Critical Hit thursday? If not could we influencers potentially have stronger influencing attacks in effect or a boost to charisma or something. I know that critical hits are more standard with bashing across all IRE games, but we should feel the effects of both influencing and bashing here in Lusternia. It's said that even aetherhunting people are getting the effects of it. Dont leave us out?
