Let's say, "hypothetically," that people were trying to outguild you, and no reason was being given for it, until the day after you made a certain forum thread, and then it was said that you were "publicly besmirching the name of the guild" despite a lack of in-game evidence of you ever did this, because you were careful to keep your conflicts and what arguments you did have under wraps in a private clan news board that exists for guild administrative stuff. I mean, it really looks like there has been a recent change in policy/approach to my situation because of the forum thread I made. Is there any point in issueing this however, besides revenge? I'm not sure if it's a redressable injury, to use a quasi-legal term.

OH MAN THATS BLOOD IN THE FORUM WATER.

GET IN ON THAT DRAMASHARKS.

That's pretty balls dude, it's pretty hard to actually prove anything, though it sure makes you look at the guild in a different light regardless.
Everiine2010-07-06 05:00:59
Were you trying to quote Jello on that one?
Kante2010-07-06 05:46:11
I'm not exactly sure what happened, but you're being brought down to guild rank 4 instead of being kicked out (Grench wouldn't budge on the subject).

As for the whole "Forum" thing, Ruiku doesn't visit the forums that often, and Shiawase almost never does, so I highly doubt that it has anything to do with this thread (though I could be mistaken).

You can see who visits the forums when by who looks at who's profile so one of these statements are not correct.

That really doesn't sound fair. sad.gif I've never known Winnae to do anything that would warrant such a huge amount of disfavours necessary to get him to GR4 from 19. Even certain other individuals who got into guild leadership positions only to do absolutely nothing except stroke their massive epeens in other guilds I've been in haven't been given such treatment, and Winnae certainly never did that.

I agree. Its not fair.

Its simply a powerplay.

I'm way too ethical (read: nice) to pull that sort of crap on someone, even if I don't like them or feel that they got into their position only for the guild rank. sad.gif That's really awful, and I don't think Winnae did anything to deserve it.
Ixion2010-07-06 07:57:29
Those are reasonable opinions without knowing the facts, or even more importantly knowing how the Ur'Guard runs internally.

I'm not fond of certain things regarding this situation, and that's why we have RP and IC politics. Without going into a not so brief history of how he ruined his reputation in the guild, even I would say things could have been handled better despite the headbutting he and I had.

The only sad part IMO is that the entire friction could have been avoided, easily.

Edit: Oh and just to clarify, I doubt the timing of your post had something to do with the IC events. It's been talked about constantly amongst some since our argument Jello(Winnae).

Hey, I need far more guild members then they do. I have a lot more going for me in the 'I'm in a guild by myself' department.

Also, Hallifax is so not evil.
Likely just emotionless.
Like robots.
Well, maybe a few things make us evil.
I heard of some depravities, but it was for science.
Like the fifth Air Lord...
Like the Viscanti kids for that one quest as well...
But we're totally not evil.
Of course we're not evil.
Well, if you disagree, I will kill you and write you out of history.

No, of course I didn't hide any messages in the rest of my post. suspicious.gif

Always remember to define your evil and what you want out of good.

ALL WILL BOW.

While we're not snuggly, cuddly, or really very loud over our public aethers, I'd like to think Glomdoring has a good balance between discipline and the general approachability of our leaders. It would be easy to spend our time ignoring those who are not cut and dry NMBG material, but sustaining relationships with each part of the whole is part of what it takes to come together as a group. When your population is split to the point that factions have radically opposing viewpoints, trouble will be forthcoming.

This.

I feel that our leaders have always been approachable. Of course, we still sometimes pull rank and put the smart-mouthing Shade in their place, but I think Glomdoring gets along pretty well. Narynth even announces over CT that she'll be available in the Shadow Court if anyone wishes to speak with her pretty much daily.

Well, I had an offer to join the ninjakari, not sure if I will or not since tae'dae monk strikes me as weird. Still, Thul does it well enough.

The thing about being demoted to GR4, is that at that point, you don't need the GA's approval to outguild someone I think. I really respect the ur'Guard GA for forcing that as a compromise, but someone like her doesn't understand the... dedication some people have for their vendettas. She told me she thinks it would end the situation, it wouldn't, I'd just be outguilded after the demotion, and I like her too much to put her through the dramaz that would ensue.

Overall, I will say that I'm very satisfied with my time in the ur'Guard. I faced up against a ton of opposition, and held the Champion spot consistently and by good margins despite this opposition and the fact that a better fighter wanted the spot badly enough to do this. It only reached this point because I took an awesome trip to Japan. Let's face it, I do the tae'dae charisma justice, and if I had been around to defend myself, I don't see an outguilding occurring over this. As far as I'm concerned, I won smile.gif
Rika2010-07-06 21:30:57
Wait, you got demoted from GR19 to GR4? O.o
Ixion2010-07-06 21:33:23
2/3 leaders were going to to that, yes, for two reasons.
