And all my anger towards the person I thought I should be angry at has melted, and new anger has arisen. This is a vicious cycle.
Give into the anger. Feed it, feel it, embrace it. Use this anger to sharpen your words. It's not a vicious cycle, YOU are the vicious cycle.
Embrace the Fainite way.

I'm an Ouroborian. Does this mean I should just eat the person who I'm upset with?

Yep, "change" them into something more useful.

I bet he claimed to be the best that ever was and Fain appeared and bet him a golden lyre that He was better and they had a lyre battle and Tedd won, so Fain had to give up His golden lyre and now all the Fainites are pissed.

"Fain's in the house of the rising sun..."

I'll accept this extended reference assuming we're talking about the version where the Devil Fain is voiced by Tom Waits.

Yeah, I remember looking at that lyre and wondering if I should say something or not. But I knew that someone else would, I just wasn't sure how far they would go with it. Clearly I should have done it since whoever did must have handled it badly, if it bothered you.

People made smart remarks and whatever
But for somebody tell me to get rid of it, after I put gold into it and maetstroeddd it and then after I ask them to buy me a new one and they order for my death...?! THE HELL?!!?
P.S I was pretty upset about something else too

Power trips are kind of par for the course out here, perhaps because there is no concept of jurisdiction in Magnagora. Which, I tend to think, is part of the general problem; the game's default infrastructure has essentially created jurisdictions of influence, and yet leaders in Mag think they should have the right to cross them at will and render judgments upon people even though the system does not give them the ability to enforce those judgments, because those people aren't part of the organization that they are tasked with micro-managing.
Still, if the person who ordered you killed over the lyre wasn't your guild leader (I'm guessing it wasn't!), I'd go through that body to get some more reasonable treatment, since then you would have another council member to counter whoever this first council member was.

Constructed from a single cherry bough painted an intense shade of vivid
pink, the body of this lyre is wide and smooth, shimmering with a subtle
golden hue. Elegant curves lead to extravagant rainbows, each colour
represented by scrolled daisies, which arc into snow white clouds edged
in iridescent silver. A thin silver bar spans the gap, from which
thirteen delicate golden wires are strung, secured into the base by pale
amethyst roses. Tied to each sparkling tuning peg is a thin,
butter-yellow silk ribbon encrusted in tiny diamonds, glittering in any
available light. The scent of flowers softly suffuses from the
instrument, lightly perfuming the air around it.

Um. Yeah, so I don't get it. You got killed because you have a girly lyre?
james2010-07-19 20:25:13
I think it was the fact I asked the person to buy me a new one if they hated the one I had so badly
