Look, kids.
You need to lighten up. So what if he wears pink? Obviously, he's weak until proven otherwise. Deal with it some other way than killing him. It's much more fun to screw with his head than to get your rocks off with murder. Last longer and you can torment him for days instead of a one-off murder.
You can only rob a dead man once, afterall.
You lower yourself to murder him over a colour, which makes you petty and silly. It makes you look like Jigan, by the Nine Hells of Chili Night.
And now, Jigan is looking for a pure pink wardrobe so he looks fabulous! And to lure the hobos into a false sense of security, before brutally being murdered for their sweet, sweet pre-marinated livers.

Is Magnagora supposed to be Lighter?

One, this isn't the Imperium of Man, this ain't Grimdark.
Two, it makes me believe that Magnagora has slipped a little. If it must enforce being "Evil" by killing people for having pink, then it's weak, and needs to be killed, in Magnagorian fashion.
I'd rather have one quality Magnagorian, than a dozen who have to restort to murder for something simply solved by public humiliation through cutting wit. A city full of nobles who can't use their tongue to cut foes down, pah!
The one Magnagorian commands the dozen slaves, in my grand vision
On a completely unrelated sidenote, I require a dozen slaves. You may or may not die in horrible, horrible mining accidents, and occasionally found floating dead in the river, coated in the butter and feathers, but the pay is good!

I remember the fluffy pink coats (or were they cloaks?).
Mostly that they would not come off.
And they talked.
That was some true Divine Punishment there.

Having played for about five ish years, and just recently making my first Mag alt... Mag is just as I expected it to be: rough, mean, and overall usually a real . But I created a Mag alt because I WANTED that. Maybe sometimes I feel like I'm getting a little to much crap dumped on me, but I'm a novice Ur'Guard. It's not like I didn't expect it to happen.
Bottom line: Mag is tough. If you don't like it, switch cities. Though it's not bad to start off a bit slow with the -ness, because if Lakya was my first character I'd probably have a problem with it.
Now I'm off to join Fain's order, since he sounds like a snuggly little teddy bear.
Kidding. He terrifies me and probably eats children.

Ya...so...um..I don't think tough is about slaying people over a colour
Ytran2010-07-20 06:20:22
You yourself stated that you were killed (or maybe just threatened with killage, I can't remember) not because of the colour of your lyre, but because you were a smart :censored: and decided to back-talk whoever was giving you orders.
Please be consistent with your self-pity and/or attention-whoring. Thank you.
P.S., there is nothing wrong with killing someone who intentionally goes out of their way to clash with the general atmosphere/RP of their chosen organization with the sole purpose of saying I AM DIFFERENT LOOK AT ME PAY ATTENTION TO ME while not actually adding anything of value. If you don't like the atmosphere/RP of your chosen organization, the proper solution is to move to an organization that possesses an atmosphere/RP that you do not dislike, not whine when you get the attention you have sought.

Shaddus2010-07-20 08:15:22
As for the lyre.. yeah. Kiriwe designed that lyre the way it looks on purpose, to look girly/trollish. We all remember Kiriwe, right?
Tedd, chat with me IC sometime, msgs preferably, and I'll make you a badass lyre free of charge, if you'll dump that one when I make the new one. Mkay? I have a few private designs in Jhagar, including a really nice Fainite one that belongs to someone who doesn't/won't play any more.

Forget who the character was. Tau handled this before I had any opportunity to intervene. I believe the character was handed two options: loose the nekai AND loose the nekai.

A. You obviously didn't see what happened, because if you did, you would know I didn' back-talk her, I only asked her two questions
B. I've maestroed this instrument since I was Spiritsinger. I did not INTENTIONALLY go out of my way to get this lyre to piss of Magnagora
C. You have nothing useful to say, because everything you've said so far is

Yeah, I made fun of him a little bit about it even then. (But only in a friendly kidding around way -- none of my business how he chooses to express himself.) So I can attest to that part.

Shaddus2010-07-20 17:10:37
ON the other hand... Instrument's aren't cheap, and they take quite a bit of time to maestro. I can understand where he would be angry for basically being told to ditch his lyre that he put so much gold and time into, and has had for quite some time. I personally think it's a retarded design (I should know, I'm the one who submitted it for Kiriwe), but I also don't think he should die for using it.
