This. Though I can get pretty damn frustrated with it, ultimately, the fact that Ongaku's been treated somewhat poorly for being a Furrikin has been a good thing for my RP with him. It's made him (and me) work harder to get to where he wants to be, and he's at the point now where he won't bother to changeself Viscanti anymore (for the most part) because he commands enough respect now even as a Furrikin. He still gets occasional complaints, and if he feels that the situation calls for it, he will changeself, but everyone knows he's a Furrikin anyway.
But it's made for some really good RP! Nariah and Morvior, both people ICly who look down upon Furrikins, have been Ongaku supporters, and have helped me a lot even if just in motivating and encouraging me to get where I am.
Though Ongaku will still 
when people make Furrikin comments, but at this point, it's mostly to himself because he doesn't want to look bad.
