Highest I've ever seen anyone favoured without ever having to be a leader was Astrasia, who was like...14. And it took days upon days of BS favouring for her RL years of dedication to the Hartstone to get her that high.

Yeah I favoured Astrasia every day for like 3 weeks with anything I could think of to get her to an elder druid and I still never got her there.

I got 15 in MDs over quite a long time! And also the aquas etc. used to favour secs up to 15 for some reason.

I think Solanis said it's something like 10 * current rank to get to the next one, where each favour is worth a number of points equal to your guildrank and each favour can only bump one rank. So a leader's favour will bump from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3, it will take two to get from 3 to 4, and so on. 18 to 19 is only nine leaders favours at that point, though, which seems low.

It's like that, minus the "each favour can only bump one rank". It is impossible for it, but there's no restriction like that.

If they're all GR20 favours, three favours will still get you to GR4 (60 points: 10 + 20 + 30). It's when you have GR19 favours that it messes it up a bit.

One problem with strict advancement systems is that if you guildfavour for something they did good but wasn't related to the system throws it out a bit if rank corresponds to what tasks they are supposed to do.

Honestly, the difficulty with making the tasks for Gnosis isn't thinking of tasks exactly, but more the problem of what direction we want to take it without overwhelming another path.

Gnosis is supposed to be the "sum" of the rest of the paths and the public face of the Illuminati. That results in my problem of not knowing what exactly should be the public face without practically taking the tasks from another path. I could just make up a bunch of tasks, and separate them into interests, but with that, they might as well go to the path closest to their interests at that point.

If I made any sense there. ._. Excuse my wording and repetition, but it's really late.

Basically:
Tasks -> not so difficult
Direction -> more so
