I don't have an aethership, nor is there many crews in Glomdoring that often go aetherhunting. A commune wide one does occur now and again.

oh ho ho ho.

Is this War Plan Ragniliff or a new one that I don't know?

EDIT:

Definitely not War Plan Ragniliff.

For the record, I'd be more than happy to come along aetherhunting with... anyone. Teach me to empath, prs!! (as well as everything else - I've only been once, and just stood around 'cause I didn't have skills... BUT I DO NAO!)

Also, if you can slivven at 76 with a mage staff, I'll beat the tar outta 'em!
Noola2010-07-09 15:50:24
I've actually spent a lot of lessons on aethercraft. I'm just kind of intimidated about joining a big crew cause they're always folks who already know what they're doing and I've never really been except like once a year ago. I just know that I'll be having to check AB files for commands and people will yell at me for being so slow and then I'll typo something and the ship will explode. laugh.gif

Let's hijack ship and do pewpews 'til we blow up?

...we'll get it eventually...
Druken2010-07-09 16:16:05
I have a big, fancy ship that I'm still building onto that's almost as big as Glomdoring's. If anyone wants to help me crew it, when the main ship isn't flying, I'd be more than happy to let you use it. smile.gif Even in-game Druken wouldn't mind because he thinks it's being wasted.

Empath: Link everyone. Take a nap. Heal the hull. Take a nap. Fix a module quick. Take a nap. Oh, hey, slivven, let the crew know where it's at. Take a nap.

Unless you're getting beat to hell, that's pretty much it.

DISCLAIMER: This is gargs. I haven't had a ton of experience with dragons. As long as you're not taking a ton of hits, though, it should be pretty easy.

Kio would be honored to help Druken out. He has that crazy "omgI'mscaredtorespectyou" thing going on, even after leaving!

Your ship needs to become the Druken-Arel Demigod Express.

Also, Noola, it doesn't take much to do well in a-space. Most of the commands are for ship combats. Siphoners use one command, turrets use one two commands (target and shoot) and an occasional shock wave. I think empath and pilot are a little more complicated, but you can always work your way up to those!

They're not. Empath uses GRID REPAIR HULL, GRID MODULES, and GRID REPAIR MODULE #. It's not as tedious as gunning or as twitchy as siphoning. Piloting is more complicated, but not by a whole lot, as far as I can tell.

What makes empath more complicated is that you have to specify which module to repair, really. That and everyone is counting on you to report where the slivvens are. But it's far from as difficult as people make it out to be.

It's definitely harder than siphon or gun, many times harder. But siphoning and gunning are ridiculously easy. It's like saying using stairs is harder than using an elevator. And I think that yeah, people might not want the responsibility.

Is there a repository of aetherhunting triggers somewhere?

Well... it's a bit more serious. Most of our hunts ends like this:

"We need a new "
*cricket*
"Uhm... so... We really need a new one. Like now."
*cricket*
"Oh, and why are only one of you firing at the karibidean?"
*cricket*
"Oh for crying out loud..."
*docks*

LOL

i know of one, but don't know what code it is in. I'll ask for permission and maybe post it up here.
