Thanks!

Also, only Pureblade and Axelord have Cleave. What happened there was that he used Crush to get in his first hit, and then razed as his second strike.

Which stats should hunting weapons aim for, beyond "max speed, no precision and as much damage as possible". I'm interested in the stat range.

280 speed, temper as able? Really, it depends on the weapon type.

Hrmmm... I was looking at adrenaline in athletics. If you put that up and sip quicksilver, does your opponent have to strip both? What does the mana usage for that look like?
Unknown2010-11-01 20:33:28
Adrenaline is the same defense as quicksilver. You need balance and equilibrium to use it, it can cure aeon (quicksilver can't), and it doesn't use any sips of potion.

That's pretty much it. Even damage hardly makes that much of a difference, so it's all in speed - using weapons like scimitars and greataxes will slow you down, but generally to not such an awful degree that they it should deter you from using them if you just want to do so for style.
As a note, if you can find a forger with a mallet and really don't want to use rapiers/hammers/klangaxes/katana, the "balanced" weapon for each warrior spec can also be tempered up to 280 base speed, so you could use longswords/maces/battleaxes/bastard swords instead.

No, adrenaline is the same as quicksilver, except it isn't a consumable and requires balance to use. It shouldn't use any mana if I recall correctly.

where can i read about the last changes to weapon stats everyone is talking about? Many people say max speed is no longer the best for pvp, so what ARE the ideal stats for pvp rapiers?
Thanks in advance

It will depend on who you are talking to, what race you are, and what spec. If you're specifically BM and not demigod, you might aim for about 240 speed base, min damage, and as much precision as you can get.

You could probably opt for 10 or so more speed points.
Don't be surprised if you get contrary advice here and there, though - it might just require a bit of experimentation.

Hi guys. I have a number of questions regarding the harmonics skill set. If there's anyone with good experience with these skills, can you please help me? I have no clue how the skillset works, so I'm doing research so I can make a few triggers for it.
-Garnet: Spinning this crystal will create a harmonic field which drains the mana of your enemies.
I'm guessing that's a mana drain similar to succumb in moon? What cures it? How long does it last?
-Opal:: Spinning this crystal will create a harmonic field which drains the ego of your enemies.
Same as above. What cures this one? How long does it last?
-Sapphire: The sapphire vibration can pierce the mental state of any person, which can be a powerful weapon against your enemies.
A bit vague. What afflictions does this deal?
-Onyx: Spinning this crystal will create a harmonic field that will sicken your enemies.
Eh? Sicken my enemies? Again, what affliction(s) is/are this.
Also, what skill is this? Is it Shatterplex?
Thanks in advance!

Incabulos presses his palms together and stares at the ring of rubies spinning
around your head. The rubies speed up and you are blinded by the brilliant
crimson blaze that rips apart your face and causes time to slow down,
magnifying the agony.
Time slows down as you watch your corpse collapse to the ground, smoking with
wisps of multicoloured vapor.

Opal/Garnet are far weaker than succumb or similar. It's just passive mana/ego drain that you can probably offset with sparkleberry.
Sapphire gives mental afflictions, mostly phobias. This includes amplifyphobia/omniphobia. If you can't keep the affs down, you can quickly be overloaded.
Onyx... I used to have the afflictions written down, but I'm a dunce and can't find this.
And yeah, that's Shatterplex. Ordinarily you could walk around and shake the rubies off, except rubies are currently bugged and nobody can do that.
Rivius2010-11-02 05:33:37
Alright, so then no cure for opal/garnet...
Sapphire and onyx sound like a challenge. Hrm....
Also, in regards to the attacks that the rubies do... They warp you in time. Is there any cure for this?

Arenas won't cure them yet, and if that's true then it's just a Researcher-only bug.

Other than Glomdoring, where else can I find spiders?

I've cured rubies in the arena by walking about.

There's spiders in the underground of the observatory, not sure about anywhere else.
