If I skillflex glamours and illusions and go ecology, gain a vixen and skillflex back to glamours, will I still have the increased charisma and influencing from ecology?
Lendren2010-12-13 00:58:40
No.

How does a rune of absorption and bodyguard stack? Can both of them fire on the same hit, or do their percentages stack so that you have a 22.5 chance of absorbing a denizen attack?

If they can both fire on the same hit, does anyone better at statistics than me know what that makes the overall percentage chance of absorbing be? Do you just take the average?

I've never seen them both fire on the same hit. My guess is that you have a percent chance for one to fire and if it doesn't fire, then you have a percent chance for the second to fire.
Aerotan2010-12-13 02:26:16
My guess would be that first Reflection fires, then Timeslip, Bodyguard, RoA, Acrobatics, and if none of that fires, then you get hit.

So, the Communes get wildfires, Halli loses servants, Gaudi gets magma, and Celest gets water spouts. What does Mag get?

Extra serfs.

Tidal waves, smell of rot, I feel cold in my loincloth and pull it tighter as comfort against the freezing air, umm....I get indigestion from chocolate bunnies without eating anything.

Nope. Have to put it on a piece of jewelry.

So can you build rooms spanning from a manse shop? I want to build an alternate exit/entrance from the shop.
Mirami2010-12-15 01:18:05
You can build rooms like a normal manse, but the shop itself has to be in the fulcrux room (hence why you can't ever make your own down exit from there).

Can you make exits to/from the stockroom?

I... Don't know, I shouldn't think so.

If you can I imagine the divine will change that, but it'd be pretty awesome if you had a secret entrance.

How does one see the head and/or Patron of a family?

Family Tree

It will be listed before the tree itself.

I'm not sure how simple this is, but if I have 14 int, would a knowledge or war karma blessing do more for increasing staff damage, against mobs?
Lendren2010-12-16 22:49:23
War almost certainly.
Saqa2010-12-16 23:22:54
How do I predict the (average? Is it a random variable?) H/M/E healed by a scroll of healing, given my current and maximum values?

Oh, how did you figure that out? I'm at 18 int with a knowledge blessing (so base 16), wondering if a war blessing will make a difference.
Shamarah2010-12-16 23:47:39
Intelligence scales very, very poorly at the high end. For me, going from 17 to 19 int adds like 30 damage to a 900ish damage staff. (War blessing, by contrast, is a flat +10%, which is much better.)
Lendren2010-12-17 00:09:28
Even when I've changelinged into lower-int races War still does better. I never did the test on a really really low-int race, but it certainly passes on middling ones.

And it makes sense really. Higher int has more advantages than just damage, like more mana and slightly higher mana regen/sipping, so it'd be pretty bad if it also did more damage increase to caster races than War which has no other advantages.
