Can aethersight also detect Magical map of Mysteries?
It does.

Scent is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that gives a location but doesn't trigger Aethersense. I'm pretty sure that anything that actively targets that person (and Farscout) will trigger it.

Simple question.
How tall are the gnomes in Lusternia? Are they the halfling sized beings we got used to in D&D, or are they the really short Garden Gnome variety.

I've always pictured them as the former (probably the size of a 7-8 year old human). Given they're cousins of dwarves, I suspect they're relatively the same size.

Birdseye does not trigger it, because of its own little quirks; it's not actually a scry, it does not follow the +- 1 plane rule and does not work off-continent, as well as not giving a room name if the person is not in the local area.
Not triggering aethersense is its only real point for existing, and it's kind of neat for that reason.

How are they cousins? Did Gnomes splinter from Clangorum as well? (Honest question)
Unknown2010-12-25 10:35:29
Well, yes in a way, as gnomes came from Agnomenon, who was Clangorum's brother.
Elostian2010-12-25 10:55:45
Ah, right. For some reason I couldn't find that anywhere.
Unknown2010-12-25 12:19:22
It was in the Clangorum book, I think? Orlachmar was wondering why Clangorum's creche didn't have an Artist, and had a reference to Agnomenon.
Clangorum also panicked in the Bollikin book because they never knew whether Agnomenon's group got out safely from Lusternia.

What about scan? I don't think that triggers Aethersight either.
And weed is boring to harvest.

I thought of getting the herbs, but those were kinda not sold either. I also find it curious that esteem prices have not gone up yet due to a lack of bromides.

Might be right there. Or there is still enough stock of esteem left that it will be a delayed effect Not totally fail economics though if bromides sell within two RL days though
Gleip2010-12-25 14:19:01
Well, artifacts throw a huge wrench into the economy anyway. But there are people selling stuff below cost price even then.

Scan does not give a room name, scent does.

Anything causing there being so little bromides on sale? Last month with the greathunt there was already very little available, but it seems the trend is continuing.
Lack of weed/rosehips to make it with. Either the herbalists that harvest it aren't around enough to sell it, or someone is stripharvesting/hoarding. Or there are just way too many influencers to keep up with the demand, heh.

More like not enough alchemists to make it. I've got enough for about 20 kegs in my pocketbelts, but no one to make it

I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact that there may be alchemists who simply refuse to work for you.
Sylphas2010-12-25 16:51:55
I'm an alchemist, but no one ever asks me.
