Subj: Changes from the forums
This is just the first batch, a few more changes will come.
1. Shrine powers will no longer work in a village that is in play.
2. If you die in a village that is in play, you will conglutinate just
as if you had died in your home city.
3. Laetitia now has a "balance" to it. This means once it is cast upon
you, there is a delay before another one will effect you.
4. CONFIG LOYALSAYS has been added for those level 30 and
higher. If it is off you will no longer hear the cries for help on city
and guild channels.
5. Serpent will disappear on movement, this was actually a bug.
6. Flow and Willowisp will only work in your type of forest. That means
tainted forests for Glomdoring and natural forests for Serenwilde.
Penned by my hand on the 25th of Estar, in the year 120 CE.

Slightly miffed that there are shrine powers active in a village when it shouldn't be.
Lendren2011-01-01 21:34:51
Well, that's an oldie. Shrine powers got completely revamped well after that. Even so, bug it.
Malicia2011-01-01 21:44:35
Well, so was the laetitia change and all the other announces in that post that still holds true to this day. Don't see any other posts announcing any other changes regarding shrines in villages. Bugged it though, thanks.

On the topic of shrines in villages, shouldn't the shrines be destroyed once the village changes hands?
Furien2011-01-01 21:49:23
It depends on what qualifies as 'changing hands'.
When a village goes up and begins revolting, all shrines within the village are destroyed.
A shrine may presently be raised within a village for the duration of the revolt, and it will remain intact until the village next is captured.

I thought the Laetitia balance thing was a more recent change.
@Shou: I did that and got the honours.
My question: On the topic of shrines, what afflictions do each of the invasion mobs do?

There's an honours for doing the Crum quest? I've done it a ton of times and never gotten an honoursline from it.

Can you attach artifact runes to artisan watches and still have the rune work?

Yep... I just did that today.

Here's a question.
If you give a denzien gold or an object, do they keep it forever (unless killed or begged from)? What if it's a random one like a guard or a beggar or a pilgrim, rather than a named person. Does their inventory ever reset or is it part of the being until it's recycled.
Just curious.

Jeanne's inventory never resets from what I gather. She hangs onto items until they decay. She is a pet mind you, so she doesn't reset positions except by being moved back into stables at random if she isn't following me.
Unknown2011-01-02 02:49:29
Well, that's a pet, I was more curious about world denziens, like, say for example, if I gave a Magnagoran beggar 1000 gold, does it stay with them forever or does it reset after a time?

Rivius runs into a network of rainbows.
The soul of Rivius swirls in the air like a sparkling whirlwind, then vanishes in a flash of chromatic colours.
A primitive simulacrum of Prav snorts derisively at Rivius and the sound echoes as laughter throughout its empty chambers.

Rainbowclouds fire on every type of movement, including your soul leaving. Prav's pet laughs at people when it leaves. I assume one of those answers your question.
Lendren2011-01-02 03:16:36
Aeromancer demesne effect; conglutination; and a pet reaction.
Ileein2011-01-02 03:18:13
The all-consuming power that is Rainbowclouds.
Kiradawea2011-01-02 03:31:28
I still don't get how Prav got that reaction approved. It's basically free, uncurable, unstoppable Faeriefire. Really really powerful.
Ileein2011-01-02 03:33:47
There are other pets that indicate not only when someone leaves but in what direction they left. Rather silly, but there you are.

Lots of people have that. It only triggers in the room with the pet, and doesn't follow them around. Unless you mean, it actually causes an affliction.

Fillins wyrm, Sahmiams dingo, Iasmos' dragonfly. Those are the other three I can think of. But they don't do anything besides react to an enemy leaving/entering.
