And I know a ton of other pets have it as a reaction already. I still don't like it as it is a better faeriefire.
Faeriefire shows them doing things which otherwise wouldn't be seen while shrouded, though, not just them leaving the room, and it requires focus spirit to cure.

This maybe has been answered before, but if I just happen upon a piece of origami...is there any way to tell what kind it is?
Not yet. Based on bug reports, it will. (Though you can tell the first two types from the second two types by probing and seeing if it's a container.)
Kiradawea2011-01-02 14:41:17
Eh. Personally I've always wanted faerie fire for knowing what direction people leave in. Or even better, when they enter my room.

How much experience do I need to gain in order to get the 5 credits reward?

A million I think it was last time, and it doesn't start before tomorrow methinks.

A number of questions I thought of in the shower:
1) Why are mortals called "mortals" to be distinguished from gods, if gods have been shown to die in the Elder Wars for example? Also, why don't gods regard mortals a little higher as they are shards of their kin? I've noticed that generally the gods treat mortals like amusing but lowly beings.
2) I've never been around for an ascension before. Is it all end-of-the-worldly during these events, or is that over with the last months event? The seals are weakened and apparently the soulless are at risk at emerging but we have normal sunny days as if nothing happened? Shouldn't there be darker, scarier ambience?
Also, when do the events tend to begin, roughly?
3) How much wounding does medicine bag cure per rub?

1) The gods are arrogant jackasses to begin with. If you read the stories, you'll see that they make many mistakes, especially due to their own arrogance. They don't really sober up until after they've suffered heavy losses. Then there's the fact that sharding is essentially a "heroic sacrifice". Meaning that those who do it are first and foremost those with the stronger moral integrity, creating a further bias towards jerkish elder gods. And then there's the final fact that one elder god is very much more powerful than one singular shard. Even though the shards have as a group shown themselves far more capable than the Elders as a group, that goes back to point one. And there are still a few gods who are decent towards mortals. Hoaracle seems to be one such god. It's just rare for the elders to see through their arrogance and realize that, hey, by being a jackass to the mortals I'm essentially peeing on the grave of my dead friends.
2) We're too used to it. So the world is ending. Big, bloody deal. The world is always doomed.
4) Events tend to begin somewhere around 01:00 GMT. It varies though. If we had more European or Asian elders I'm sure there'd be more events happening at different prime times.

I want to make a new material akin to plastic. How would I go about doing this, Trademasters?
Lendren2011-01-02 23:47:25
I used pulped wood fibers mixed with wax when I needed that one time (a vuvuzela), and ultra-thin crystal another time (Tupperware).
Unknown2011-01-02 23:50:49
You should also look up some historical precedents to plastics. Such as Resins (from Plants) and Oleochemicals (such as Whale Oil)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resin
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oleochemical
Using that as a precedent, I'll be there's some plant that could be tapped for Resins, as well as some animal fat that might work as a waxy substance.
Do we have whales in Lusternia?

I'm trying to make this dress(except less ugly and more Hallifax appropriate). I guess I could use fine crystal...but that seems so predictable and obvious.
Unknown2011-01-02 23:56:06
That looks almost like silk, maybe with just some waxy coloring.
Aicuthi2011-01-03 00:00:45
That was a poor picture. I really like the idea of the material more than anything. I could make lots of angular lines with it. The resin and oleochemicals are a step in the right direction though. Thanks for the tip.

Weekrank? I think.
Also, why am I not getting any experience for killing stuff? Do I have to join it as an event?

I need someone with taste and a discerning eye for design to give me their opinion.

I've had this problem awhile. Anyone know what the issue is?

The paintbrush has a thin handle of delicate blond wood. Bound by a platinum band, the bristles are very fine golden hairs that are cut into a very sharp point. Small etchings are along the shaft of the handle, and the entire paintbrush glows with a soft ambient power.
It is strangely weightless.
