Huh, Charisma affects it too? Didn't know that.
It was originally only your music skill and dramatics skill, but they added charisma affect it a long time ago (over a year ago).

There is...a soft cap from the max you're physically able to reach in terms of cha/dramatics/guildskill, and there's also a hard(er) cap for what you can reach from all that + the champ artifact without the rune -- and the rune does it's 1.5X effect on top of them. I want to say it's 350/525, but those numbers might be slightly off. I just remember there being a point where I could boost my cha up a couple points difference and it wouldn't make any difference to my song length anymore, when I had the bracers. TFs can also boost beyond this, but that's it.
Ah, thanks! I was considering getting the music rune so just wanted to make sure it would have an effect on me.

Is it possible to dump from aetherships into a nexus? I can't find a command for it, but I thought someone told me that it was possible.

You mean SIPHON ENERGY INTO NEXUS?

I've had a merchant ledger for a while but only recently started using it frequently. I've noticed it will say for example 54gp, and then I go to that village (within seconds, and no one else is there so it's not like I waited too long and someone else bought it) and the price is actually 93. -Then- when I check the ledger again it's accurate. But that kind of defeats the point of having a ledger if I have to go there first. I always assumed it checked the price in real-time when you use it, so it should always be accurate. Anyone know about this?

The code for village commodities was recently redone, so it may be a little buggy with the ledger. If you can't get a solid answer from anyone and it keeps happening, I would bug it.

Mine works fine. Every time I see the situation you described, it's because someone else got there before me. This is less unlikely than you'd think: some people have access to Tarot or the Death domoth map, and can get to villages really fast, and do so fairly often -- because the new commodity system really rewards people who grind a lot at going to the villages often.

What are the best places to bash in your 90s?
Kiradawea2011-01-18 13:31:37
Astral and the catacombs. If you can survive there.

I still bash tunnel trash and it works out pretty well for me. A little less risk involved, in terms of getting jumped or getting unlucky. There's always a chance you could run into multiple fishers, but in your ninety's you should be able to tank one round of that. And it doesn't make you insane.
Question: Does ego/charisma affect psionic equilibrium speed at all, other than the id channel?

Another grammer/writing question, this time about commas and descriptives.
"A lustrous, gold-wreathed sconce"
or
"A lustrous gold-wreathed sconce"
Is there a proper way to place or not place a comma between adjectives? I usually go with a comma for complex descriptives, and don't when it's very simple e.g. "a big black box"

There is no hard-and-fast rule here: it's basically a matter of taste and the impression you want to create, the cadence you want from the words. For that particular phrase, I would use the former, because it more closely matches the way I would say it out loud, and the way I want the reader to hear it in their head. Your rule of thumb is a pretty good start, but there are times when I'd put a comma in a very simple phrase, or omit it from a complex one, and the cadence guideline is more accurate. But that's how I write. You don't have to write that way.

Nope, only ego affects id balance. Though I swear my id balance increases when I go over. I'll have to do some testing.

When you run into a mantekarr and four fishers, two of which break your legs, it suddenly feels a bit less safe.

Those also tend to build up at predictable choke-points that you can learn to simply avoid.
