Whom should I contact if my elite credits and dingbats didn't arrive as scheduled, and there was no charge to my account? Paypal or Lusternia sales?

seeing as you are using paypal, you can check under there when your next billing will be.

Are there any fundamental mechanical differences in carcer, ringwalk and shafts?
Shamarah2011-02-10 02:10:19
Carcer has a random chance to block enemies from leaving.
Shafts actually makes random exits disappear completely from time to time but doesn't stop you from walking through the exits that are still there.
Sylphas2011-02-10 02:31:53
Shafts is actually also SPAMMY AS censor.gif , to the point that I can troll guild meetings by dropping Shafts.

What ever happened to the NPCs that used to run around yelling stuff around the cities?

They're now confined to specific areas, and only SAY the stuff they're paid to. Celest's is in the Syrinx Plaza Hotel.

Boo, I don't like that change!

Just to make sure, what actions cancel
-soulless
-chasm

other than walking away?
Calixa2011-02-10 14:08:05
How do you add linebreaks to an ad? AD # DESCRIBE only takes a single line as input.

How long do ads typically stay up for?

Soulless: Forced actions, forced movement
Chasm: Pacifism/lovers, forced actions, forced movement

Chasm is stopped by lover's curse (not lusting) or pacification/peace if done before the second message. You can also put the chasmer to sleep, not sure about the deadline for that, if any, and also not sure if metawake lets chasm finish in that case.
Soulless can't really be stopped by afflicting the person who flung it, as far as I know.

In both cases, you can forcibly move the person who cast/flung it.

EDIT: Oh yea, forgot dominate. THANKS, FURIEN!

You can't add linebreaks to ads. The closest you can get is fooling the formatter to break lines at certain points by including a long string of characters, such as -----------------------.

Ads seem to stay up for roughly one IC year. I haven't really paid that much attention to it though, so I could be off.

EDIT: Upon looking closer at my messages, it seems to be roughly one RL week.
Sylphas2011-02-10 14:48:04
It seems odd that ads don't simply open the editor and then just limit the number of lines and the length of each.
Lendren2011-02-10 14:52:49
Probably one of those inherited-from-Achaea things. Ask your envoy to get it changed!
Rivius2011-02-10 14:54:48
Thanks, guys!

I thought envoys were just for guild stuff. Will ask, cause I was expecting the editor too.

More questions then: I seem to recall there was a skill that stops you getting thrown about when swimming, am I recalling that wrong cause I can't find it on the wiki? Could have sworn it was in environment. And is there something similar for flying and not getting thrown about?
Ssaliss2011-02-10 16:14:17
There are artifacts for both, not skills.
Unknown2011-02-10 16:20:45
Technically, the -mancers don't get tossed about in their native environment. (At least, I think that's true.)

Nah, aquamancers get wave dodging with Waterbourne, same as geomancers get to ignore Earth Plane quakes, etc.

They are definitely not in environment, though.

Unfortunately, windwalking does not prevent Aeromacers from being tossed about by the winds while flying. Our superslick wind-avoiding dance only works on Air Plane (vroom! hehehehe) flavored winds, and not normal wind. mellow.gif It would be nice if it did! Aquamancers by far get the sweetest deal with the water thing. I'm pretty sure it's the only one that actually applies outside of the plane?
