CARTEL , but you get 3 public and 3 private at the beginning of each new year.

Thanks. I'm also confused on the noun rules for certain items. For example, a greatrobe can be called just that, a greatrobe. But checking some of the greathelm designs, it clearly says you can only use the noun 'helm'. Is this the case?
Xiel2011-03-03 03:18:15
Certain patterns have multiple nouns that can be used, like robes and robe for greatrobe designs or carpet and rug for Artisan mats. If you want a greathelm, nothing is stopping you from making 'a great helm' though, but you have to respect the separation. Same with the case with cup cakes, etc.

I've been wondering for quite some time now..wherever do you usually see Masayo? I have -never- seen her and I don't know anyone who ever did.

Self gusting again.

I've tried 120 times (40 malkuth, 40 malkuth+belly, 40 malkuth+belly+torso+legs) using gust from a ring and none failed. Esano said that self gusting doesn't bypass forced movement resistance (unless I fail at reading).

Do none of those prevent forced movement, only summoning? I'd expect even a 3% chance to have triggered at least once, and would expect the chance to be greater than that.

This is kind of a late reply to the question about weapons stats and runes vs hunting/pvp weapons.

I have seperate katanas for bashing/pvp because 1) speed weapons will outdo precision weapons but only in situations where you remain unhindered enough to attack every balance, if you're fighting 1v1, you're probably being hindered a bit, so you need to add more into precision to make up for that, the same reason applies for hunting vs fighting weapons. When you're bashing, you want to deal at as much damage as fast as you can, so max speed-min prec, rest damage will do that for you (ie, I bash at a 2.2bal and pvp at about a 3sec balance with aslaran) It does make a big difference either way from what I've noticed.

Weapons runes will go above the 280 cap, so if you get +10 stat runes, your speed will be 290. and they do make a big difference, but you probably don't want stat runes first ( if you're planning on fighting, I wouldn't bother with them otherwise). Wounding runes do make quite a difference and those should be bought first, followed by stat runes, then elementals, then bleeders, at least in my opinion. I do think the lvl2 ones are worthwhile, despite what others have said, they do make a difference.

I realise this is late, but just my quick knowledge and experiance

Do the magic enhancement runes (mystic might, arcane force, esoteric authority) have a noticeable effect on hunting, or is their utility primarily in combat?

They do have an effect, but as with influencing buffs, whether it speeds things up depends on rounding error. If you're doing 10% of something's health every hit, it takes you 10 hits. If you raise that to 11%, it's still going to take you 10 hits. But once you raise it to 12%, then it drops to 9 hits, and at 13% it's down to 8 hits. A rune might not seem to make a difference, and a War blessing might not seem to make a difference, and kirigami, and crit runes, etc.; but stack enough bonuses up and it can start to make a big difference.
Lawliet2011-03-03 20:59:25
Huh, I was told magic runes didn't effect bashing at all.

Are you sure, Lendren?
Eventru2011-03-03 21:01:29
They increase magic-source damage. That applies to all types, not solely PvP.

Hm. Bug it. I guess I've always gotten my summon resist mixed up with my anatine shrugging.

You should have tried asking Gaudiguchians, or at least those that have done their Epic Cycle.
