Well. I assume it is because if all the merians hated you, completing the gorgog side of the quest would be impossible. Not sure.

Well, you can always gain temporary amnesty, that allows you to complete the quest.

It is worse with the Kephera. In order to get amnesty, Imhohet needs to be up. In order to raise Imhohet if she's killed, you need to do a quest that involves giving objects to creatures that go aggro on you. You need help to get Kephera amnesty.

It poisons the crap out of people when you hit them with it (4x charybdon I think), but I'm pretty sure you can only use it once per game day?

Have you tried to just use the spear on someone? I really don't know, man. I've had it done to me, but I've never used it myself. Maybe it should come with an instruction manual?

Never tried it myself, but I think you need to USE it. Try USE SPEAR ON PERSON.
