I demands a deletion of this post! Noola is not allowed to post things that conjure up macabre and horrific images to mind. You're suppose to be a ray of sunshine, damnit!
I could totally edit the post and add some smiley faces!
Unknown2010-07-29 01:19:20
Even rays of sunshine can give you sunburns?
EDIT: And Noola, you've already been quoted so changing the original post won't do anything now.

What are you supposed to do when someone misunderstands the context of your words and gets all mad at you?

Depends on the situation. I default to not giving a damn and ignoring them, but sometimes you have to apologize and keep trying until they understand.

The thing is I didn't do anything to apologize for. Are people just mean like that?

I think it is generally a bad idea to attribute to the specie the negative aspects of the individual.
Aside from that and more on topic, I would usually just ignore zir. Clearly ze is not really worth the time.
Unless ze is, in which case it is really something to tackle based on the individual case.

Can anyone post a description of that collar-thing that Lyreth and his followers wear?

Am I supposed to be able to raise the hood on my loboshigaru gentleman's suit?
EDIT: Because I can, but I thought I needed a special hat or something. Is it working like a robe hood? And also, what exactly does raising the hood do? I just do it because they told me to when I was a novice aeromancer.

Well, in the case of Greatrobes... check ARMSTAT. Raising your hood is the equivalent of a warrior putting a helm on. If I remember correctly, it gives you cutting/blunt damage resistance if someone attacks your head. No hood, no armor. In the case of non-Greatrobes, it's just for show I guess.

Huh. I was under the impression you needed a separately enchanted and worn hat for suits. This might be a bug - BUG and ask for it to be looked into.

I'm really, very sincerely hoping it's not a bug, because I'll be extremely happy if I don't have to couple a "hat" noun with enchantable gowns and suits.
I asked twice in this thread, recently, whether "hat" was the only hood-replacement noun available for use with gowns and suits. Still no answer! I take it it still is, then, as far as anyone knows?

You shriek in agony and pain, and know your forest shrieks with you. You sob tears of shadows, and the stars themselves dim before your dark wrath, your sadness, your loss. You draw close, and you know the shadows that writhe about the forest floor are your own, as all shadows are. Yet nothing of your power, nothing of your beauty, matches your emotion - your rage, your anger, your pain. You pull into your arms the rotting and scabrous body of an elfen crone, her tortured form lifeless and empty. A piercing, hollow emptiness stares up from within the half-rent hood, gazing out of once living eyes.
Is this dream new?

Nope. It's not new. I remember getting it awhile ago.
Do trills have eyebrows? I know they're supposed to have down instead of hair, but does that mean all hair?

I assume they do. I mean, I put feathery eyebrows in Ksil's description so.. *shrug*

If they do, I'd imagine they're feathered. I think I described my trill with a feathered brow. It makes a certain sense that they have no body hair at all, only feathers. Although that raises some other questions...

I always assumed so. I had a pretty neat Trill description (I compulsively write descriptions for every race in case I ever buy a cameo - I'm weird) a while back with feathered eyebrows, and I definitely remember some (awesome) guy had a Trill with a feathery beard.
