Think I figured out the problem..apparently only one purchase per hour
Unknown2011-04-17 05:29:34
Interesting fun fact: It takes less time to mail IRE a check than it does for paypal to go through.

I know this sounds like a silly question, but which places can count as being uncovered in fullplate and helm? I was wondering about this for a while back when I wanted to design a new suit of armour (which has places uncovered), and now that tattoos are out, I'm even more curious.

And, on another note. I've been reading on the wiki about the music boxes and timepieces that tinkers make. Are the regeneration reduction to hme by the music boxes noticeable and does cranking the music boxes consume bal/eq? Also, how does the TrueTime enchantment work?
After winding truetime you get a small amount of delay chopped off aeon, I believe it's something on the order of .1 seconds. The music box negates one level of regen, and it's usually not terribly noticeable, as far as I know (my character, for instance, has 1 natural level of mana regen, one enchant, and a totem that regen off the top of my head) . It takes balance to crank.

If I split the weights so that the waist tattoo will have 75 cutting DMP weight, the wrist and ankle tattoos having 10 cutting DMP weight each and the neck having 5 cutting DMP weight, that all adds up to the maximum 100 weight for cutting DMP that an individual can benefit from, right?
Enyalida2011-04-17 07:54:53
Yes.
Xiel2011-04-17 07:56:26
Shmexy. Yay double checking.
Enyalida2011-04-17 07:57:22
If you wanted to change that dmp to anything else, you'd re-resign all of those designs.

Can you reactivate a dormant guild skill if you're not in any guild? For instance, could a rogue knight switch between Pureblade and Bonecrusher if he learned both when he was in a guild? The skillflex file suggests no, but I thought I'd double check.

Probably not, for more or less the same reason you can't learn tattoo as a rogue monk.

Wanna design tattoos this afternoon because I have the spare time. Does anyone have an example of an already made tattoo so I can use the template? I'm not a tattoo artist (yet), don't want to skillflex and looks my trans trade. Can anyone give me the in-game syntax, post a template here, OR point me to where I could find such info? I have ideas for roughly 30 designs and want to get rolling immediately.

Also... what are the rare beasts in the CzignayWaifare? Tattoo design in mind.

Hippogriff, chimaera, and basilisk, iirc.

Item: Tattoo Type: Unknown Org: Public
Commodities:
Mortal Reviews: Allowed
Tattoo Weight: 0
Appearance:
a swirling tattoo of blues and purples
Examined:
Blues and purples in bands of varying sizes flow together in unbroken ribbons, emanating from a
single, fixed point at the centre of a spiral, right over the the middle of the back. No readily
apparent end can be discerned thanks to the skilled hand of an expert artist, each ribbon conforming
eloquently to the curvature of the back as it twists out and eventually into a neighboring ribbon,
the two overlapping and becoming one, once blue or purple ribbons becoming dual-coloured meshes that
shift back and forth as they stretch on.
- The main noun of the design must be TATTOO, with no exceptions.
- The minimum commodity requirement is one tint per weight. Thus, if you
have a gut tattoo using 100 weight, at least 100 tints must be present
in the commodity cost.
- For designs utilising black tinting, this is created by including one
purpletint and one coal per weight in the commodity cost. Thus, an ebony
butterfly back tattoo with a weight of 100 featuring an all-black
composition would have a minimum commodity cost of 100 purpletint and
100 coal.
- For designs utilising silver tinting, this is created by including one
goldtint and one faeleaf per weight in the commodity cost. Thus, a
silver falcon arm tattoo with a weight of 50 would have a minimum
commodity cost of 50 goldtint and 50 faeleaf.
- Non-ink commodities may be included in the form of herbs and gems
ONLY, and may only be utilised once the minimum tint requirement has
been met in the design. These may be used to add a superficial detail
such as sparkle to the design, but keep all extravagance to a minimum -
any commodities other than tints, herbs, gems, and coal may NOT be used
in a tattoo design - this includes essence.

You point an emerald domothean scalpel at a homunculus resembling a deformed aslaran, which shoots
out a tiny beam of white light that burns a perfectly symmetrical hole neatly in his torso.
You have scored a CRUSHING CRITICAL hit!
You watch in amazement as several internal organs slide out of the newly opened hole in a homunculus
resembling a deformed aslaran's torso.
You have slain a homunculus resembling a deformed aslaran.
You suddenly scoop up the corpse of a homunculus resembling a deformed aslaran.
This did about 1.2K damage to me, but there's nothing that shows why it would, but Homunculus are supposed to do damage to their owner when died. Is the damage I received normal or is it a bug and it should have hit Arcanis?

Bug, as far as I know.

Sorry Hallis, you will not have Daraius's furry mits all over your bodies.

But, but...

Not for tattoos, anyway.
