Who wears undergarments with a suit? That's nuts.

Things like jewellery don't contribute to clothing rating, just prestige. To get up to "warmly dressed" you basically need every available item of clothing (including things like boxers, panties/bra, a hat, gloves, a scarf and socks).

I meant clothing accessories. tongue.gif

I'm just glad it doesn't actually matter if you wear clothes or not. Mechanically, that is (aside from prestige).
Lilia2011-08-10 00:39:43
I -finally- got 'dressed normally' when I added my greatrobe hat.

Valonah pauses, then laughs loudly yet half-heartedly, looking somewhat confused.

What is this emote?
Lilia2011-08-10 00:45:11
lol? maybe. "Not wanting to look stupid, you laugh along, not understanding the joke."

are the artifact rings enchantable?

No.

As I continue my research on alcohol related DMP defenses, I have some questions about racial tolerance. From HELP DWARF:

CODE
Have a level 3 alcohol tolerance: Meaning Dwarves will take less damage the more inebriated they are.

First, how does this work exactly? Does a dwarf's tolerance mean less stumbling at lower levels of drunkenness? Do dwarves gain ALL DMP to resistances alcohol use (such as AmberMalt)? Does this amount also stack upon an AmberMalt defense... meaning it might be possible to get up to 40 DMP to ALL resistances at being the most tipsy? Curious... how does it all work?

ALSO does anyone know what the Charm of Clangoru officially does?
Dynami2011-08-10 21:27:21
One can increase his or her aptitude with an instrument by using it once every hour or once every day?
Lendren2011-08-10 21:42:04
RL hour, game day. Same thing.

Dwarven racial provides DMP to everything based on how drunk you are. I've gotten it up to 230 or so and I've seen BodyScans with 250ish or so Dwarven racial DMP. I don't have a large sample of lower drunkenness numbers, though, but it's definitely stronger (three times would be the logical assumption) than AmberMalt.

WAIT... you said about 230? That brings you up to 6:1 ratio. Whoa. What's the % damage modified at that point? Also trying to learn more about drinking tolerance from HELP DRINKING. I am assuming the system works like SHIP PROFICIENCIES in that the more you drink, the more "proficient" you are at resisting the effects of alcohol to effect sobriety. Only, in this case, there is a natural "skill rot" per RL day. Now I can see why something like PaleMalt would be necessary for someone trying to achieve higher DMP values for dwarf/amber or trying to quickly build up tolerance.
Ssaliss2011-08-11 11:13:51
Regarding tolerance: I've been drinking more or less steadily for the last IC week, with no discernable effect. Either tolerance is broken, or it takes ages to build up.

Anyone know all the various mobs that can follow people, and are listed on the He/She is followed by blah, blah, etc. line. Have a trigger to cut it all down to make it less spammy, but I know I'm missing out on certain things. Just want to make sure I catch all of them and properly organize them.

Yes, mid 200s. Remember, though, that is close to the maximum; even as a dwarven Brewmeister performing sober, I was still taking thousand damage ticks, falling unconscious, and fumbling everything. You can't do anything that drunk. A more realistic value is likely somewhere around 30.

Of the musical instruments we have available in Lusternia, which would be best representative of nightmares, madness, and ungentlemanly squid things?

I was thinking of violins for the truly screechy and cacophonous noises they can make.

Personally, the violin is always a favorite for that.

Or anything, really.

Invent the theremin! (You just know Elostian has one hiding somewhere in his temple already.)
