Wasn't that one of the main purposes of a chandelier in the first place?

What Shulamit said. I was seeing the message of the Mag chandelier showing Xazlael in both the Celest orgbix room and at the Pool.
Aerotan2011-08-30 02:32:53
Poor Xaz. I was in a manse.

How viable is a human Pyro?

As viable as a human anything, I guess. I'm not sure what conventional wisdom says about dracnari pyros, but I know sip penalties always bugged the hell outta me - if I was going Pyro, it'd be as a human.

Trill pyro ftw

(Or illithoid)

and Bull, Lion, and Scorpion, are there any other Great Spirits that we know of that I'm forgetting about?

Unsure about the spirit cat that gets summoned in Snow Valley. The Honours line calls it "the Great Cat Spirit" instead of "Great Spirit Cat" so I'm not so sure on it.

EDIT: Oh somebody also mentioned the Serenguard worshiping Eagle, Jaguar, and Wolverine, but still didn't really get the impression of those being Great Spirits, but maybe somebody could elaborate on them a bit? <__<

Woverine, Jaguar, and Eagle are definitely Great Spirits. Something tells me the cat is likely to be as well, but Lion could have that distinction.

According to what source?

Not that I have anything against it, but I've never heard anything about them actually being Great Spirits.

They're given the same honorary title as Stag or Raven are, such as Sister Wolverine, etc. and they have specific, unique identities and physical presences in the Serenwilde. I don't have canon to reference off the top of my head, but when Everiine drops in I'm sure you'll get it.
Lendren2011-08-30 12:51:15
The only canon references we have are the wolverine spirit in the Collegium which alludes to, but does not solidly prove, a corresponding Great Spirit; and whatever's in the vision quest quest that comes from Goldie's mushroom, if anything. Those three spirits were definitely player-created (originally by Alyssandra, later changed by Gwylifar) and intended as Great Spirits, but they have never gotten the kind of patron backing that was asked for or hoped for, and that others have gotten for similar efforts; but they also haven't been contradicted by canon.

Yeah, my memory is entirely as Lendren said below you; player created (and players can give whatever title to anything they like, you should hear some of Eventru's!)

I'm a fan of more spirits vs. less, but I'm a bit hesitant to specifically say 'Yes these are 100% confirmed Great Spirits" just due to guild roleplay.

Anyone have the full list of afflictions that would prevent jinx from curing?

I believe it's just anything in the catagory of mental affs, which I believe limits it to coltsfoot and pennyroyal or focus mind cure.
Here is the list, and I haven't tested it, though I do know everything on that list aside from perhaps temporary insanity and scrambled brain does prevent it. I never had those affs to give though.

COLTSFOOT: (smoke) anorexia, impatience, insomnia, loneliness,
masochism, shyness
PENNYROYAL: (eat) confusion, dementia, hallucinations, paranoia,
scrambled brain, stupidity, temporary in

Lobo or aslaran for Shofangi? Aslaran have (slightly) higher dex and the balance bonus, lobo have (way) higher con, strength, and the health regen. Help me out here.

Personally I'd go for loboshigaru, but someone who has actually played a Shofangi might be able to give a more informed suggestion than I can. suspicious.gif

Lobo harmony psymet monks have insane health regen. I don't know about shofangi specifically, nor anything about PvP, but you will feel unstoppable bashing.

Go class cannon and go faeling.

I was thinking about going psymet, getting demigod, then going acrobatics for PvP. I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to start out lobo and reincarnate into aslaran for the same purpose.
Lilija2011-08-30 18:30:14
If you're going to go psymet, Lobo is fantastic for bashing from what I'd heard from Shofangi peoples. I swapped between Lobo/Aslaran/Faeling depending on what I happened to be doing at the time, and Lobo was definitely the most survivable while bashing. However, I was acro, so Aslaran may be fine as well when utilizing psymet and harmony regeneration.
Unknown2011-08-30 19:08:28
I'd go Human for bashing rather than Loboshigaru in a heartbeat, especially with Psymet. As a tattooed psymet Aslaran I felt about as tanky as I do as a surged Elfen Lord with moonaura and runed masterplate, which is pretty darn impressive, and I bashed a lot faster. Human would be about the same bashing offense, but with such an increase in xp gain that it would level faster than an Aslaran and tank enough to justify the lower con and regen from Lobo.
