Back to Common Grounds.

Monk guards have a slightly higher level. What might be more useful is influencing on of Mag's warrior guards (intimidating) and then influencing another org's warrior guards (brave), as they should be identical.

Pretty sure that is not true.

Took me 11 hits to get a Guardian of the Dodecahedron for 800 essence. A Sentinel Deputy Commissar took 6 hits for 763 essence.

Just tested. Took me 11 weakens to get a Commissar. Definitely not true.

Then that'd be a bug. smile.gif

But I'm enemied to Mag. sad.gif Still, I think that would be the best test yes.

Really, the only place I can go safely is Hallifax, and maybe Serenwilde during offpeak.

Even if they're slightly higher level (which the essence seems to agree on; 850-900 for a nighthag and about 1000 for an illithoid) it still shouldn't take over twice as much effort influencing them if they're equal. Although if you'd be willing to grant me access to an ur'guard to influence, I'd be glad to test.

So I should resubmit that bug? As that's exactly what I (intended to mean that I) bugged,

Likewise; 7 for a nighthag (brave) and 18 for an illithoid (intimidating).

Wow, really?

I guess those changes must have gone into effect since the last time I influenced guards, because for me, it used to be 5-7 for nighthags and widowriders, and 9-11 for illithoids. Certainly never 18.

I wasn't really fully deffed; only had charismatic aura on. With sitting on my throne, a charisma blessing and a penumbra I'd likely shave quite a bit off.

Actually, I just tested with a few centaur hunters and deputy commissars and actually, the essence from each individual one differs slightly.

Well, I typically went without a throne or penumbra too, as I still haven't gotten a throne, and only bother with penumbras when they're called out (which is often, so I figure, might as well catch as catch can).

But buffs aside, if it takes you that many more attempts to win against illithoids, why doesn't it also take you proportionally more to win against other guard types, too?

Could've been a freak illithoid, I suppose. Testing with more as we speak.
Ssaliss2010-07-17 01:10:49
Must've been a freak illithoid. The recent ones have been 13-14 arguments. Still a far cry from the 7 of nighthags though.

You're campaign lacks substance.

-campaigns for howlers and being able to make money more than once a year.-

For orgs only I believe.

If I buy lessons does my mentor get a percentage of this instead of credit purchases? And if not does the purchase subtract from the first 4 purchase rewards? (I would buy the credits first, but lessons are limited edition sad.gif )

Pretty sure they get a percentage, but in credits (given that people buying lessons gives credits to org/guild). So, it would count as one of the first 4 purchase rewards.
