What would be considered most logical canonically for a Gaudiguchian, helping the finks or helping the gnomes? I'm leaning towards finks.

Not limited either way, you're entirely free to help both, you know.

Slay them all and sort them out afterwards. That's how I do it.

Helping both for double the reward!

I don't really like conflicting honour lines though.

It's one of those things that you have to decide for yourself really, which side you like more. Gaudiguch doesn't really lean either way.
Janalon2010-07-17 14:24:06
IMHO side with your beastly self. Find it in your heard to help those cewt wittle finks. They really know how to throw down; ever party with one? And all those gnomies seem so Hallifaxian logical with all of their gizmos and some such.
Unknown2010-07-17 20:02:13
Gaudiguch are bad guys, just like Magnagora and Glomdoring, so you should help the finks. Celest, Hallifax, and Serenwilde are good guys and should only be helping gnomes.
edit: ^ ^ ^ not serious ^ ^ ^
See, that's an oversimplification. Even the finks and gnomes aren't good or bad. The gnomes are impious technocrats who invaded paradise (Lolliprin Dell and Smoke Mountain), turned it into a war zone, and left their own people behind due to ineptitude and failings of their own misunderstood technology, all while labouring under strict, monarchic rule. The finks are the poor children of a splintered tribe, their matriarchs striving to lead them well even as each successive generation forgets a little more of their heritage and lore, and even as some of them succumb to the defects of infertility and winglessness.
Help whichever side makes sense based on how you interpret the finks and gnomes, and how you see your character viewing your city's ideals.

How is Hallifax a "good" org when it promotes slavery and indentured servitude?
Unknown2010-07-17 20:06:49
Because it gets healing, tarot, and astrology, like Celest.

That's as silly as say because they got Kephera!
Gaudiguch and Hallifax are neutral, not really good or evil because that type of concept has different meanings for them.

They're not! Sorry if it wasn't clear that I was being facetious.
Unknown2010-07-17 20:13:41
Well yes, but why did they get kephera? Story wise, it wouldn't matter if they got illithoids, but the admin chose to give them a kephera mob. Clearly, there are preconceived notions about which org is 'good' and which is 'evil' between the two.

I'm straightforward like that. Down with the gnomes it is, then.

Does Serenwilde have a decent population of trans Ecologists?
Furien2010-07-17 20:39:05
Maybe a few Spiritsingers, but good luck finding any Druids. or anyone at all since they've all alted out

Hallifax got kephera ostensibly because its caste-ordered society was appealing to the kephera, who really like hierarchy.

Does Glomdoring have a decent few? Given that Shadowbeat is poison-centric, I'd imagine it is a little more popular there?
