Can anyone tell me what the story is behind the whole Lucidian/Dracnari hate thing?

It started with basic psychological differences; one race tends towards passion, individualism, and freedom of expression, the other towards logic, decorum, and self-control. It escalated when the dispute about Tzaraziko's race (she's Lucidian! No, Dracnari! No u! No u, and ur mom too!) broke out, and as far as I can tell festered ever since. Basically, their psyches predispose them to hatred; any 'reason' for conflict will really only be an excuse.

They actually coexisted peacefully in the Skarch for a long time - both races were saved from extinction by Grandmother Scorpion (and, to an extent, Tzaraziko) when their cities were attacked by Soulless.

After that, though - what Ileein said, basically. Two different sides of the same coin.

Oh, and the Trill are the tiny little guy standing behind the beefy thug and shouting, "hey, me too!"

But at least they're pretty.

Very broadly how do monks compare to warriors? I'm toying with the idea of hopping to the Nekotai. Their skills & history are really interesting but I vaguely remember someone complaining that monk combat is one-dimensional, flat, and boring.

When you hit trans kata, one of these will arrive in the mail. If you can properly connect it to your computer, you'll find it both simple to use and effective, but some have complained that its use does remove an element of strategy from an otherwise demanding PvP experience.

The Nomad Camp came from Gaudiguch, the Mesa from Hallifax, and neither are from the Scorpion Caves.

Has anyone tested if the new DivineFire works on commune/city guards?

You let us know how that works out for you. happy.gif

Who is the oldest non-Divine player in Lusternia? (Without Aeonics)

Nepthysia, Chade, Murphy... anyone born 71 years after the coming of Estarra, I think.

Heya X, suckle on this.

Nekotai have an amazingly deep history with a decent amount of plot twists and turns. Thematically, they are well integrated into the commune of Glomdoring thanks to the various Patrons about the commune. We have a guild store if you are into shopkeeping and the trades. An explorer class aethership if you want to cut your teeth on aetherfaring. A decent library system with good incentives for publication. Well over 50 Nekotai-specific trade designs that cross through nearly every craftable item. We are have plans to double that within the next RL year with decent incentives to create designs through our org-specific cartels. Despite what others may say, there is some learning curve involved with combat proficiency. Although people generally gripe about monks being OP, there are very few top tier Nekotai combatants. Just take a look at the kata and Nekotai combat actions. Some degree of know-how is required to orchestrate all of that.

I'm sure you're very proud of the work you do. Congratulations on talking about nothing related to the point at hand.

Nepthysia and Murphy are tied at 204 on the 2nd of Estar.

I think Kharvik might be the oldest with Aeonics, just to put that out there.

An interesting fact, the players who were made in the very first moments of Lusternia, such as Richter, were actually born on a non-date that's noted as the 25th. About 15-20 minutes after the game actually opened, the 1st of Estar started. (And I checked - Richter did come first!)

Syntax: PSI BLOODBOIL
Channels: Substratus, Superstratus
You can raise the temperature of your blood and cycle it quickly through your body, preventing the health loss normally associated with bleeding (and, indeed, curing the bleeding entirely). This is, however, psionically taxing to maintain.

What does this mean? I can't detect any real mana, ego, or willpower drain when bloodboil fires. Not enough to call it 'taxing' at least. I lose more by clotting. Am I just not bleeding enough or what?

Esano2010-08-31 13:11:54
It's an ego cost depending upon your bleeding. So yes, you're not bleeding enough.
