So has anybody help the crazy soulless-thing worshiper side of the quest in the Tar Pits yet? I'm rather curious about it. ):

I tried. It MIGHT be borked, not sure.

Is it bad form to write and submit something to the Hallifax library that is basically one giant pun that very few people will notice?

I wouldn't say so. (RL) history is full of satire, some obvious and some obscure. If it's a literary work (as opposed to scholarly, as I would classify a political satire), then why would they care?

My puns have been known to almost kill Elder gods and release Soulless because of how horrible they are.

Killing Elders can only do good to the basin. Go ahead.

If something just isn't seeming to be able to be handled via issues, should you email support?

It depends on the matter in question, I suppose... Either a mail to support or a message to Estarra, I'd say.

I would think it should be obligatory. If not there, then where?

In fact, it's too bad my Hallifaxian character is not really the sense of humor type. I've written so many things like that (and most of them remain unnoticed) that I would relish publishing them in a place where at least it would seem to fit in.

How does a scroll of disruption work actually? Doesn't seem to do what I thought it did.

Tested it out with Faymar. As a Psymet with three defense locked channels, it "unlocked" each channel stripping my defenses. It stripped all three channels... forgot to test it beyond that. Thought it would "lock" an unused channel. Didn't see that in my experiment (though I didn't go beyond stripping my three defenses).

Also, what is the EQ time on a disrupt?

I believe it's supposed to unlock one random channel. Unsure since I've never used it.

How long does it usually take to get a response on an email about a customized item? It's been like a week, and nothing but silence. suspicious.gif

It can take 1-3 weeks, depending on how backed up/busy we are. However, I think the majority are done within a week.

It's been 5 days on your request, btw, not even a week. We'll get to it soon!

Yeah, that's exactly what it did. How does unlocking a random channel hinder a TP or TK?
Unknown2010-09-20 01:07:14
Well, you just stripped one of his defenses (or offenses, in some cases), I guess. I've used it a couple of times, but I never found it all that useful, since I had no idea what channels were locked or what effect the scroll had on my target.

Never played a TP or TK... though I would assume they keep all three channels open for actions. Not sure if you can throw one of their channels off balance. Otherwise the only use would be anti-psymet as they usually lock all three channels. Oh, and anti TP forcefield... though that carries it's own penalty for overuse.
Vadi2010-09-20 01:32:35
In effect, it doesn't really hinder at all 1v1. Pretty useless to even try it. In groups, getting it off might work to strip Fillins forcefield earlier or somesuch.
Lehki2010-09-20 01:43:28
Disruption scrolls are for getting our of TK Barrier. <,<
Esano2010-09-20 01:44:11
It can be used to strip forcefield, barrier (although gust can be better there), etc. etc.

If you have deathsight and deathsense both up which do you see? The who, what and where of sight, or the who and what of deathsense?
