Been looking at a ton of room numbers as I alias a ton of speedwalk routes. It's made me wonder...
- What is room #1?
- How many "mapped" rooms are there in the realm?
- How big is aetherspace? *shudder*

The maps on the wiki give you a good sense of that: each pixel is a single location.

Prime Aetherspace "loops" and is 1000 rooms wide (or if it is 999). It's also 1000 rooms from top to bottom, giving 1.000.000 rooms. There's also Ethereal, Elemental, Cosmic and Astral Aetherspace, meaning five planes of Aetherspace in total, giving a potential of 5.000.000 rooms in total. Granted, much of that is unused (especially on Astral Aetherspace), so my guesstimate would land at about... say, 3.000.000-4.000.000 rooms.
Also, room 1 is the Centre of Existance, in an area called "The Basin of Life". I'd assume it's unreachable by mortal means.

Are there any abilities that uses beast ego? Or does beast ego do anything?
Unknown2010-10-09 14:21:37
Yes, of course. Some things use beast mana and others use beast ego. It's in each AB description.
Unknown2010-10-09 14:38:03
Ah, I see. I was looking at the wiki where it shows that all abilities used beast mana. Thanks.
Unknown2010-10-09 14:39:43
You've just found an error in the wiki then!
Lendren2010-10-09 18:47:12
The wiki just has dumps of the ABs, so it's an error in the ABs. Though of course when they fix those they don't always tell me.

How can we ask for those rooms made through the IC mapper to be shifted over to lusternia.com's map listing? I like looking at those website maps, and some of the newer areas like Ixthiaxa, Ptoma, the Infinity Labs, and the Sidereal Springs aren't there, while the Tar Pits are mislabeled and some of the other rooms right before the temples are added too.
Unknown2010-10-09 22:06:26
I wish the map XML was updated better, now that some of us are utilizing it.

The system does it automatically, at its own pace.

I think this is a pretty simple question.
Runes of gripping and shielding or just a 10% magic damage rune?

Oh. I wonder what kinda pace it goes at. It popped out the Rikenfriez map already, even though I think Ixthiaxa and Ptoma were already out -ponder-.
Could be mistaken though, but I'm still curious.
Ssaliss2010-10-10 01:12:53
EDIT: For some reason, that one didn't work. Hrm.
EDIT EDIT:
The Sidereal Springs
Ixthiaxa
Ptoma
Infinity Labs
ATCP/GMCP-diving works, if you can do that.

What's the balance time on packing a snowball?
Unknown2010-10-10 05:29:47
A few more random questions:
1) Regarding liquid containers like vials and bottles...Which usually have the greatest capacity? Can you, for instance, SIP BROMIDE and it would automatically sip from a bottle? Also, I've had some vials with liquids of 60 sips and others with liquids of 50 sips. Does this depend on the vial or the liquid? I want to get the best capacity I can so that I can save whatever little gold on elixirs and so on.
2) What are the usual times for writhing out of various things if people have those numbers at their disposal? How fast is tripheret and so on in comparison to these times?
3) While I can't get my hands on them right now, out of curiosity, what do the wayfaire viles do?

Probably a long time after what I did on accident.

1) Sipping through a generic noun as opposed to an ID will automatically sip from the first such vessel which contains that liquid, either vial, bottle or even tea cup. The 60 fills come sometimes from refilling straight from a fountain, or by alchemists who fill a vial and (by virtue of their having that trade) then get to shove more into the container than normal people do. Same with poisonists and poisons.
2) No clue.
3) Bouncy artifact vials that never decay. I -think- they double the amount of refills you get into them (that doesn't split the refills up if you try to then pour the doubled amount to normal vials), but I'm not sure. More toys, really.

2) Tripheret takes up eq but does remove all bindings at once. Writhe takes off just one bind, can't remember if it uses balance though or not. No clue on times, but with many stacks you might want to use the first.
