It would be nice what I need to bet to get over that auto bid of someone...
It would let some unscrupulous person say, "Oh Gee, the highest bidder is willing to pay 2500? Well, I'm going to bid 2500 and make them pay that much!"

Ohm, maybe I will come out of retirement and participate in this credit war.
Uh oh....

The bandolier sounds nice, I would expect it to be a normal, cheap artifact item at some point.

It depends a lot on the exact functionality. If it still allows growth but removes loss, i.e. making it possible to get all profs to 100%, it might end up at the 600-800'ish. If it still retains its limit to 200% total, I'd say 300-400'ish.

The cord is useful if you want more trades. That is the only use really i see for it. I would still buy it just to be able to skillflex for all the trades I could have...

I normally just carry multiples of one type of vial. Identical vials stack, so if you have 100 of them, there's no inventory clutter to speak of. Management can be done through POTIONLIST and maybe a reminder text file to let me know how many of each type I normally want to carry.
That said, the bandolier is a neat idea regardless and also "flavorful" in an RP sense. I'd always wondered why there wasn't something like that already.

I can't imagine where the Endowments are gonna end... 205 on each already. :x

I wonder how many people are gunning to get all three endowments for themselves?
Surely a high-rolling few... having four trade skills would be fun!

Pondering that myself, but odds are they'll go to three different people. Unless someone's out there sitting on 10k+ credits.
Anisu2010-07-17 00:39:52
for those thinking of immediatly putting the maximum they are willing ot bid, it is generally best to go in steps since you have 3 different auctions per item and it could go to you paying 2000 while someone else pays 500 for the same item. If they are around the same price the last day you can go all out on one.
cords was just a nice to have thing, if I get outbid I will not bother to get it. (50 lessons to relearn, oh hai 5 lessons a day)
Currently set my maximum for endowment at 1000 not sure I want to pay more for it. (Viy said fighters will love it, but saddly I am no fighter and the only reason I want it is RP and paying for cooking designs meaning the opponents want it more)
The eyepatch doesn't seem 350 to me, once you have a solid crew you rarely switch stations anyway. And 50 percent VS 100 percent isn't that large a difference I think

Given the people who I know who are going for one, they'll be going to different people. Just given the number of credits willing to be thrown at them.

I wouldn't pay 350 for it either, but I always assume there are people out there willing to buy them for what I consider to be an extremely high cost. Plus, there are people that switch between piloting/gunning/empathing regularly enough and willing to spend the money to get that extra edge.
