The leaders of Gaudiguch are kind of jerks.

That was more or less entirely staged, though, for good reason.

They were jerks to Xentri though. He was totally right, and three leaders pretty much smacked him around for it.

Wahhh. Xentri decided to be a smart ass to a city leader because "he is free to say what he wants in gaudi" and got told that being a smart ass and using the "freedom" excuse is not a wise choice.

You know the great thing about freedom the city leaders have the freedom to smack you around for being a smart ass when they ask a question too.

See? Look! We can use the "lol free to do as we please" line too!

Except he wasn't being a smartass--he was totally right. Which is completely different than being a jerk just because. If you can't see the difference, then yikes.

While it's not unlike Kalin to freakishly overreact when he's been wronged, he usually doesn't do so until he's actually been wronged. Wasn't there, but just going off personalities, Gregori's probably got a point.

Except being right and being a smart ass are not mutually exclusive. if you can't see the difference, then yikes.

Lyria asked a stupid question on CT that she already knew the answer to, then got snooty when no one answered. Someone else was like "Uh.. isn't it in the logs? Why does this have to be in public?" and Lyria got even more snooty and told the person to shut up, more or less. At which point that person was like "Hey, I'm free to voice my opinion that you shouldn't embarass someone just because you can." and then Kalin jumped in and basically also told the person to shut up.

There was no reasonable excuse for how he was treated.

It actually had nothing to do with me.

Lyria asked a question.

Xentri said "Are the guild logs undecipherable?"

This is not "being right" this is "being a smart ass"

Just because the information was in the city logs for Lyria to read, doesn't mean she can't ask the question. hey look RP is happening.

Xentri then went on to say 'I am just voicing my opinion as a free citizen"

to which I commented that people using that excuse should be careful it doesn't bite them in the ass. because quite frankly we have a whole pack of retards in Gaudiguch who seem to think "I can say what I want cause it's lolfreedom here"

Lol? No, Lyria wasn't "snooty". No, she didn't tell anyone to shut up. Had she wanted to tell them to shut up, she probably would have flat out said it. Sure, someone can say "Hey I'm free to voice my opinion". Lyria/whoever else is also free to dislike said opinion and respond however they want to, if you want to pull the "IM FREE TO DO AND SAY WHATEVER I WANT TO" card. Nobody was treated badly, but if you want I'll give you a tiny violin.

I like how a tongue in cheek response to people saying kalin is corrupt, so him being all "hey I will cityfavour one of the people close to cr6 up so they can favour too, and blame it on corruption" has become a way of life in gaudiguch. It's kind of cool that people have been looking forward to 'corruption month"
