I'm the one who will stop talking but see 5 people making jokes at my expense for 3 hours in the thread after an admin says to change the subject.

During previous instances over the past few days, after Eventru would say to drop it, I would, and then other people would continue making comments in my direction for hours, and no one would say a word about it.

There's a report button - feel free to use it if you feel you're being attacked personally. The policy here is attack the point, not the player.

We're not doing that in this discussion here, and I'd like to think that we've kept this one a whole lot less personally charged than that last.

Edit: Esano raises a good point. Go to the posts and report them if they're attacking you. They're usually pretty good about that; it's easy to miss stuff in a thread discussion, but when it's pointed out / raised as a flag (especially with some reasoning) they'll take a second look.

OMG! I couldn't take it past a minute.

I've run a shop here in Lusternia, a long long time ago, but I have. I made tons of gold doing it. More than I've ever made bashing, and in far less time. I made enough to trans skills and buy artifacts. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity, but shops are rarely available and I don't currently have a trans tradeskill.

You should be glad it was Xenthos and Xinemus who are 'talking' and 'making jokes' at you. If it were Gregori or Guido you'd be in tears, dear. Personally, it is a lot smarter to quietly browse the forums and throw your opinions out very rarely (liek me yo). ^.^ Less worry aobut people arguing with you. No one really argues with me. ^.^

You kind of learn to just not argue with Xenthos, because any argument you start is never going to end.

It's also best to not mention Gregori's name, as well - five other people will show up with him on the forums, snark you, and then track down your character IC. It's like some sort of mafia.

I'm sorry. I've just been on edge in regards to the forum since the huge argument with Gregori. It just seems like whenever I say something, even when its a joke (like the Lendren overpricing thing, and even the bad business plan comment) people like to jump on it, and after a bad experience starting it all off, it just made it all that much more button-pushy.

That kind of thing is quite relevant-- and while I'm willing to listen to your points, I'm rather curious as to the details and how they stack up with our experiences over the years.

Also, gold-gathering is a lot easier now than it was then. By leaps and bounds, heh. That's why credit prices have gone up from the old days. So, if you are competing by selling close to the commodity cost, your income vs. time ratio will be lower now than it was.
