I've had a lot of success with Vladimir on this rotation...may buy him after he's not free any more. Being able to tank and nuke is awesome, and sanguine pool is just fun.

You can QSS, Malz ult suppresses and it works there too. Not sure about cleanse though, not that it matters since no one ever plays that except like...trynd and ezreal.

If I want a quick First Win of the Day and feel like ruining five other people's lives for about thirty minutes, I'll go Teleport/Cleanse Yi.

I spend the first part of the game playing really defensively, just using Transfusion to get the last hit on creeps, or to poke another champion if they get too close. This works to keep your health up.

The best items I've seen for him are Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Rabadon's Deathcap, Will of the Ancients, and Spirit Visage.

I focus on levelling up tranfusion first, and sanguine pool second, then tides of blood. (Dropping a point into hemoplague whenever I can).

Into the mid and late game you can use sanguine pool and tides of blood to farm a ridiculous amount of gold. When you decide to go after a champion you can hit tides of blood (preferably with a few stacks on it), then transfusion, then drop into sanguine pool. Whenever you come out of sanguine pool tides of blood and tranfusion are already off their cooldown and ready to use again. That's my main rotation, and I save hemoplague for using against 2 or more enemies champions in a team fight.

Transfusion is amazing! You can either use it to harass, or if the opponent is some harassment-resistant champion, use it to farm creeps. It costs no mana, and it heals you, you can ideally stay in lane forever.

Sadly that's how it is nowadays. A lot of new people I've seen tend to rely too heavily on learning by playing bots. *Old man voice* Back in my day, I had to play with level 30s all the time and had to learn the hard way!
Sylphas2011-06-29 19:51:47
Intermediate bots are worth a game or two when you start. Beginner bots are just a farm fest for anyone with a partial clue.

I played 1 game against bots to get the hang of the controls, and have been doing PvP ever since.
Jayden2011-06-30 03:02:24
I tried PvP once... by accident and was reminded why I stick with bots to learn how to play.

Amumu is the only one I can do decently with. Purchased Vladimir and Morgana too but I just get steamrolled

The problem is, you DON'T learn to play. You learn to kill bots. It's not even close to the same thing. The better option is to get four of us to carry you until you figure it out.

This. Not to mention people don't really care about wards, mias, and whatnot in bot games either.

Bot games are useful to get the hang of the cooldown, range, projectile speed and other such mechanics of the champion, that's about it.

I play against bots when I'm tired and just want my bonus IP of the day. And even if you get steamrolled on normal solo queue, at least you'll never see those people again so it's as good as playing against bots anyway.

Looks like we've got a lot of Lusternia people on LoL right now, we should do a 5v5 all Lusternia team!
Unknown2011-06-30 15:28:55
ohmy.gif How come I never thought of that to get my bonus IP?

I'd so get on LoL if I can get it to work. sad.gif

Anyone else having login issues? Telling me my account doesn't exist. Made sure I was on the right client (and I can log into the website fine) but still no good.

Earlier it was giving me some crap when I loaded the launcher about the servers being unavailable and all the news items showed up as "loading", but it cleared up after a few minutes. Not sure if that counts.

Ya I had that happen to me as well earlier. Was gonna play one game then get some studying done. Instead, I logged onto Lusternia because I couldn't get on LoL and now I still haven't started studying ...

Is playing a ranged dps carry a LoL faux pas or something? In 4 of my last 10 games my team has not had a ranged dps carry. I know I could have chosen one but I played the tank instead...
