Dominion is sooooo much fun! Plus, I can actually play one game and not lose an hour of my time!

Also, it seems that AP Sona is a fun, viable build. That or I am just getting paired with people that are way below my elo/ranking...

Akali and Eve seem to be really good at it. I haven't been too impressed with the Twitches I've seen, even though he has stealth, but then Twitch is just kind of bad.

I thought Sivir would be good at it, but my two Sivir games were total failures. With 3 minions at a time people can just run up to you and she's too weak to go toe to toe with anyone.

Huge burst and tanky dps seem the way to go. And Karthus.

Anyone with movespeed boost. And is tanky. Or with globals. Or looks like a spiky armadillo.

I've been doing pretty well with Janna and my main, Karma. Both building AP/CDR. Janna has great speed and burst if you max W first, she's great at defending points with her tornado, and crowd control helps deal with the assassins everyone loves to play. Karma's AOE is great, she doesn't have to wait for an ult which is good because the fights are non-stop, she can speed her whole team, and she can kite most enemies with Spirit Bond - especially the fast ones everyone loves to pick like Udyr and Singed.

It seems like Dominion was designed for assassins, with all their burst and mobility. Anyone with mobility or burst or both seems to do well. Single target champs not so much. I played Ashe in one game and I've never felt so useless. I've also had fun and done well playing Heimer, and I had a couple of good games as Mundo, though also a couple of awful ones.

Mordekaiser was a favorite of mine in SR, but you can't build a shield up in DM cause there's like no minions

Have been having a great time playing Nidalee on crystal scar. She moves fast, has huge burst and enemies claiming a node are easy pickings for a full range javelin.

AP is better than pure cdr, since you'll actually heal/do damage. If you really want to go gutsy, try AD/aspd sona


I've done well with: Riven (mobility, durable, damage, AOE cc), Gangplank (team speed buffer, nice damage, jackass cap-deny), Ezreal (highly mobile, damage, jackass cap-deny), Treebeard (er... Maokai, as a point holder), Cassiopeia (zone control, can render a point uncapturable with miasma), Nocturne (DaAARRRKNESSSSSSSSS), Blitzcrank (pull people off points, aoe ult for cap deny, mana shield durability, grab fleeing enemies to secure a kill), and Miss Fortune (using an AP build; yes it does work).

I've seen other people effectively use Shaco (AP build, boxes + knife throw), Rammus (speedball, tremors), Lux (cc-hell, ult-laser), Shen (ult, nearly impossible to kill, taunt people on to/off of points), and Nidalee (traps in the grass, VERY high mobility). Theoretically Teemo would do pretty well, too, with shrooms and Move Quick.

Does anyone play on a mac? I'd love to and a bunch of my IRE skype friends do, but I don't know if I can effectively run it. Some help?

I think Lorina finally got it running smoothly on mac.

Last I heard they removed the Mac client before they released Dominion; Wuylinfe can't play with us anymore.

I was going to give LoL a try but they just dropped support for the mac client. HoN has mac support but it doesn't run very smoothly for me at times. Maybe I'll give Dota 2 a try when it comes out though.

Oh, sorry for the delayed response. Yeah, I got the mac client to work from a bootleg thing. It works...but like some graphics are missing, which is okay. It works and runs smoother than may dual booting since I refuse to Bootcamp.

As an aside, I'm almost incapable of playing SR anymore, because I start getting antsy around the 20 minute mark. That's about the time at which Dominion games end and SR games actually start. Graghablah.
