Not really. Distort is so good now that you can probably guarantee most people die unless they have a 300(?) credit artifact.

Xiel, I think it's pretty safe to say that 'gates' means the transversing between planes, not special exits.

I don't recall an artifact that can get you past a distorted village's guard clump. The only thing that comes to mind is divinefire, unless I'm missing something.

Why?
If you can transverse in but not out of distorted Planes (ex: Air and Vortex), why should you be able to hop in and out of Ethereal realms without distort touching you on the way out?
Essentially, if you can be locked in all city organizational territory, why should there be an easy way out of Communes?
This change is a bit overkill in that way, there's no way out of a distorted Plane except for not being attacked for 2 minutes now (and owning a cubix). Heh.

Guys, shrine/nexus distort is fine, they last an hour. My issue with village distort.
Who cares about delayed cubixes.
And yes, while I'm sure you can use the 'give mob to pet' trick, I have a distinct feeling that it will get bugwarred into oblivion sooner or later. It's always been a kind of shady way to get mobs out.

It's not fine if it blocks transversing out of Cosmic planes, but still allows insta-leaving via archways.
It's very clearly not fine in that case.

It does, but compared to a 1-hour block... a few seconds of delay is nowhere near.
I don't think asking for equality in this respect is overextending, really.

Using orgbix, cubix, or whatever when Distort is up is not viable if Wrath is up. Wrath will kill you within the two minutes of no sipping.
