We take the outing of alts to be an infraction of the forum rules. We will be taking SEVERE action if we find people have outed an alt on the forums or use such information in-game, up to and including shrubbing. If you have an issue with someone you suspect is an alt, do NOT handle it IC but rather you should issue or talk to support.

I know it's hard but you should try and separate who someone's alt is. If someone knows a little more than the average novice (or whatever), then you should give them the benefit of the doubt rather than jump to conclusions. If you have an alt, you should try to behave as circumspect as possible, even if its reviving an old character.

Also, people don't like my saying this or don't believe me, but if you want your alt to remain a secret, don't tell anyone, not even your best friend or someone you think you can "trust". It always ends badly. For those who break someone's trust, shame on you.
