Here's an idea:

Why don't we remove the essence part and make what the ships collect able to be siphoned into the godrealms to either spawn more godmobs, make the ones there stronger, or maybe give the gods whatever things they need to expand their godrealms.

Barring that, a new module or artisan item that stockpiles esteem that you can send directly to a god (no imbuing please) has my vote.

...half the point of this change was for gods without godrealms. I, for one, would like to offer to Kalikai like just about everyone else is capable of doing, if I happen to go aetherbashing.

As for Krellan's comment on lack of esteem...the whole reason this method of gathering esteem was even implemented was because it was felt that aetherspace bashing should generate it, just like influencing, just like hunting any other area would.

All I'm asking is for it to actually be -useable-.

Lowering the esteem gain from aetherhunting would solve majority of the negative complaints here. Additionally, if the pilot imbue command worked -only- on a special type of item (made by some trade) that would make it impossible to be used as regular esteem (sanctifying/defiling) but only for offering to a God, it would solve the other rest.

... how would lower esteem gain solve the problem?

The problem isn't that the ships are generating essence too slowly it's that it's bloody annoying to actually go and offer it.

I dislike the idea of being able to imbue into items since this will just increase profit of aetherhunting, why not simply pull up the essence limit some way, or allow us to buy essenceholds. And since divine realms are so remote it would be nice if we could offer at the aetherplex using a command like PILOT OFFER TO (surely a big pipeline can be installed to the fulcrux shrines!).

That could work too, but I was trying to go for a solution that would be the least amount of work.

Because my reply was not to the problem but people's issues with our solutions to the problem.
