Generic essence imbue?

Ascendants used to have the ability to transfer essence to others. It was a 50% loss straight up.

What do you guys think about putting the 80 mil (the rest of ascendance essence not given back to us as a refund) into veneration? You can even take a further 10% off that in order to account for the 10% loss.

I know that the admin aren't really keen on bloating our personal reserves with that much essence, but at the same time, we don't want to just shrug and say goodbye to all that time and effort spent bashing up the 80 mil.

Ah that. However, from what I gather, you need Cult Essence to meditate upon Veneration right, and it already costs (unless I'm mistaken), the essence of getting from level 1 to 100. Now with a 10% decay on top of that...

Just feels to me that it's like baking a 100 muffins for your friends, but before you can go out in the living room with the muffins, you need to toss ten of them in the trash, just because.

Seriously, given the costs here and that other people can turn essence in by offering, this is the least of the problems (essentially none at all). 12,000,000 essence lost if you convert every single drop yourself because your cult can't be bothered. In practice it should be far, far less.

Don't complain about this please, because the only way it will change is to get a worse conversion ratio.

I still like my muffin comparison though.

Let's change the muffin comparison to this.

You bake 100 muffins for a party for your friends.

On the way out the door you hand out 10 muffins to various neighbours (admins) for them to do whatever they want with; they are lost to you now.

You still have almost all your muffins to enjoy!

I viewed it the same way the first time when Eventru explained it to me. I was like oh ! But then I looked at the total amount of essence offered to Eventru and saw that 8% of that is a gawd awfully high amount...Then I put two and two together...That with the combination of the cult working togethering(assuming you have a high number of active members), and your own personal essence, attaining Trans Veneration would just take a few real life months maybe.

I have to admit, it looked grim at first, but then I looked at how much is offered and if I could gather those big offerers into my cult...I could essentially be getting "Free" essence for learning Veneration.

Your muffin comparison was lacking. In Soviet Lusternia, there's a leaving-your-house-with-muffins tax, imposed by the nearest divinity.

Not all of us ascendants are avatars. I would just like my 80 million back.

Well like say I offered a fully esteemed item, 8% goes to my cult, the other 92% goes to Eventru. But the same can't be said for CULT IMBUE . That essence is just gone! :/

-Beast powers - what is the rationale for allowing it to be only useable once per RL day? For 15 mil and 15 weight, I'm not entirely convinced that their effects are -that- awesome. On top of that, the imbuing doesn't even last that long.

I'd ask if you can adjust that to once per IC day instead, nothing else needs to be changed.
