As much as I wish I could agree with this, the fact is, the skill by which druids plant saplings that protect melds (and eventually, produce lumber) came well after artisan and tracking were introduced.

They don't really plant them, either, but will them into existence as blessings from the Tree of Trees.

Potato potato.

That does not work so well in text. They both sound the same!

Well admittedly my memory is foggy. Though that doesn't really make much sense from what I can remember...

Form what I know.

7/16/2005 - Artisan was released
9/3/2005 - Tracking was released

edit: actually I looked into the announcement around those dates just now. Tracking release is in announce 380 and there is a reference to saplings in 372 so saplings were already around before tracking was released at least. Exact date though, I'm not so sure... I think that came in when there were several things changed with druid demesnes when they thought they should be stronger in the trees which should be inbetween artisan and tracking release. Then they realized we needed more wood so they made them drop lumber (from what I remember, could be wrong on that). Which would be after the three were released.

Point being though that saplings were mainly used as means for demesne protection but later on also became a means to compensate for the demand on lumber. At the start it was a quick fix since there weren't many Artisans and Trackers around, but as we progress to now, with the increase of players, and commodity requirements, thus consumption which increases demand and lowers supply, having being able to plant saplings only given to druids may not be such a good idea anymore as these saplings have ceased to function solely as forest protection. This in the end make skills and trades of the city trackers and artisans dependant on the tenacity of druids and policy of forests. I personally would rather that skills or basic commodities be more open and not restricted by two orgs.

Building campires costs me more than actually buying all my health refills in a day -.-

You only carry two vials?

No more like I build more than 1 campfire in a day. We do use willpower a lot too with clotting, regeneration and seek/uniting and what not.

Just now I just built 3 to get Uruk out from 300 willpower due to just clotting and giving seeds out. And thats with rocking chairs meditating and a regen room.

I only use ~500 sips of health a day.

The problem is, more so than anything else, that he allowed himself to get down to 300wp. Willpower regen seems to stop stacking at a certain point (around ~30 per tic) and just demands a lot of waiting. Well, unless you have someone summoning moon maidens for you, which cost power and won't necessary sing their wp song.

If you want wp back faster at that point, your best solution is heartstop.

Doesn't Mag have access to that chessboard that restores willpower and endurance once a day, or was that taken by someone else?

They don't. Predictably, Glomdoring has it now.

Really, though, my post is trying to be sincere. It worked for my Nihilist Tarot alt, and Mag has more reason to embrace and have fun with death than any other org.

Haha. I had forgotted we had the Chessboard.

I think dying in the arena still restores willpower. I'm not sure. But hey, it's better than heartstop!

The arena bug should've been fixed a long time ago.
