I would say that Estarra should definately do another Ask Estarra...
But then everyone would hear my horrible Mrs Doubtfire voice.
And I don't think the bugs I want fixed will be the ones fixed in the bugfix month, because the admin seems to be unable to reproduce them.

If you could reproduce it and provide the steps, I'm sure they could (eventually) reproduce it.

Nienla, Krellan, and Alacardael are the griefers I had in mind, though they might be druids just for the broken Dreamweaving now.
Either way, this isn't really the thread for such suggestions.

It's okay, most of the griefers went Harbinger.
Mmm, bard damage.

That's just it though. To take the Taerin quests as an example. I can go through the motions until the bug appears (not that it is a simple matter. It's a long puzzle), bug it with every single detail I can think of, and they still can't reproduce it. Even though it happens even without really trying on my part. And when they do fix it, it doesn't last long before it is broken again, and there would always be another bug that'd prevent completion anyway.

Ah, quests are completely separate code from the rest of the game code, and from what I gather, quests are harder to code, test, and fix.
Kiradawea2010-08-30 00:41:37
Yeah. You notice that in bug responses as well. Quest bugs tend to linger far longer, and are fixed at a lesser frequency.
Eventru2010-08-30 00:50:49
Bugs that sit in the system for a long time (especially quest bugs are prone to this) will be automatically filed as vague/non-reproducable.

Might I suggest waiting a while, then closing this poll and opening up a new one with only the top two choices? There isn't a clear and outright winner here as there was in the other polls, and giving people the chance to change their vote would be appreciated.

... they do? Like who?
Pretty much everyone has left BT, except Alacardael who just switched to it and will leave soon. Narynth, Nienla, Crek are the only ones who really stick with it (in a general-combatants sense). Only one of them can be considered a 'griefer' really.

No faith
But yes. As a Druid I can maybe use 5 abilities effectively outside my demesne. Dreamgriefing only really works on the unattentive. Plus, Druids are akin to crumpled wet paper - so very un-tanky.

Actually, Estarra said she is open to other ideas not listed as a choice. So that kind of makes this the perfect place to suggest something that the administration focus on as their next project.

Just as an aside, bug focus does not include monk 'balance' or guild 'balance' (both of which are kind of nebulous statements).
Though, apparently BUGS =/= GUILD BALANCE. Haven't seen any response for the "Catch up, double up" envoy request. Guess this means a druid revamp is also off the table at this moment. I guess you can bring up these issues through your envoy during the regularly scheduled monthly report.

Why would bugs = guild balance? They are two completely, utterly unrelated things. Bugs are things that are supposed to work one way, and there is a glitch in the code that prevents them from working the way they were meant to. With guild balance, everything works exactly as it is coded to do, but it needs to be adjusted because, in hindsight it needs a few changes to make it "on par" with other things that also work properly.
They are not related in the slightest. This is like earmarking congressional bills here.

I know that today I filed a bug, and it was fixed in like...15 seconds. Awesome.
Estarra2010-09-01 21:45:14
The people have spoken! We'll be spending this month focusing solely on bugs!
