I ran into this issue a while ago. My solution? Use the prepaid Amex card to buy a prepaid Visa or Mastercard. Problem solved.

Yes! Razenth just mentioned that to me. I think I'll take his and your advice and feel utterly silly as I buy a prepaid with a prepaid.
